  • Your favourite YouTube video
     OP - August 21, 2010, 12:38 AM

I thought it might be interesting if everyone posted their favourite ever youtube video - it can be related to anything - music, sport, science, history - anything goes, except pornos since it's ramadan, sorry Prince Spinoza *shakes head*.

My favorite is a video where Brian Greene talks about how learning about science can enrich ones life and in particular how we should change the way science is taught to kids in school so that science gets the interest and respect that it is capable of. It's really inspiring.

Great video, by the way. I completely agree. I used to hate science back in school, and only when I got into university and started reading and researching about science myself did I start loving it. I wish I had taken something like theoretical physics in university, or biology.

yeah, back at school physics seemed boring and biology seemed much more interesting. nowadays i really wish i studied theoretical physics rather than biology - although i'm not sure i would have been smart enough to have a successful career as a theoretical physicist - these guys are as smart as they come.

I find it funny when people say humans need religion, even if it isn't true. How do they know? Did people leave their religions for a while and then decided that they couldn't live without them? Obviously that's not the case, since they actually believe in their religions, and not just view them as "practically useful".

Although this is a rather long video (1hr 16mins), I found it very interesting when I watched it last year.  It's about the psychology of suicide terrorism or religion in general.

Amazing, her hand was like a crab along that neck of the guitar.  Although, I dont find it adorable, I think more akin to child abuse.

Totally.  Kind of sad right?  Makes me angry though, that I know so much about it now, and less knowledgeable muslims feel they have the right to tell me I need to read more  Cry

I bet she spent many a day crying, when the parents were making her practise for hours to get that good.  She should be playing on the swings or with her friends rather than fulfilling her parents ambitions.

How do you know she isn't a natural talent? There's a video somewhere on YT of a Korean child playing the piano. She's blind.

you're being a little pre-judgemental don't you think? for all we know the kid being that good could just be down to her own enthusiasm and following her own dreams etc.
