  • Introducing Zeeman
     OP - September 05, 2010, 01:39 PM

    Hello all,

I am an ex-Muslim of Indo-Pakistani descent. I was born and raised in Moderately Muslim family. I was a strong believer and used to debate Christians, and Hindus on many religious forums. But my outlook on Islam completely changed when two events took place in my life.

I was beginning to doubt Quran as early as 2006, and was having doubts that it was ever preserved or protected by 'Allah'. I found out that there was no singular reference manuscript of Quran that was ever corroborated by another copy of the Quran. There were always huge differences between historical copies of Quran from one instance to the next. I read about the Science in Quran and had my serious doubts about all of this. All this while I shared my research with my younger brother.

First event took place when my younger brother suddenly decided to leave Islam. He basically cited that Quran was a book filled with lies and that he could not possibly bring about belief in it. That was a dangerous situation for the family, because my younger brother in his unwise over-confidence told my youngest brother. My youngest brother is very religious and overreacted to this, so I had to fool him into thinking that my younger brother had been converted back by me. My younger brother obviously did not and slipped into Atheism soon after. I believe right now he is between Deism and Atheism since he now seems to believe that there is GOD.

Second event took place when I got married to a religious girl (somewhat an extremist). I was simply appalled by her lies, and fraud her family did with me. I got notoriously frustrated by her frequent lying and refusing to be a partner in marriage. She wanted to turn my mom into a servant. She never once prayed, but went around in a Hijab, and openly supported the Taliban and AlQaeda. I did not know that she was a supporter of terrorists when I married her, else I would have never married her. I tried arguing with her how these organizations were evil but to no avail. But then one day luck took my side, and she was out of my life. I would not go into details as to what she did to cause herself to be kept away from me for good. I just divorced her 'Islamically' and told her never to talk to me again after that incident.

After these two incidents I realized something, that Islam is not really a true religion after all, so I started researching further and found documentaries like 'Bible Unearthed'. They opened my eyes and confirmed my doubts in all the religions in existence. Presently, I am Deist in belief.

This was my story of breaking free from the sham and fraud called Islam. I encourage others to do the same now.

Sorry to read the difficulties you've been through. But it's great to see you got through some of those really tough hurdles Islam has put in the way of your life. It is extremely commendable how you managed to untie yourself from your ex-wife. Must have been tough.

    Enjoy your time here. Smiley

I'm guessing that your email doesn't contain your real name - if it does, remove it from your profile.
