    According to the Alexa stats, a lot of people visit this forum from Bangladesh.

    I checked Alexa today and there is no regional info anymore because the global ranking dropped below 500K (it fluctuates a lot). But when i first joined the forum I was curious so i looked it up on Alexa and the forum easily had the highest ranking for Bangladesh. Way higher than the UK.

    In fact I think there must be a lot of people in Bangladesh interested in leaving Islam, because the Alexa ranking for answering-islam.org is also very high for Bangladesh. 3rd highest after Indonesia and Canada.

    Bengali. It shouldn't really matter what ethnicity you belong to but I suppose if you actually live in those countries then it may have an impact- I would hazard a guess and say many Iranians are leaving Islam due to their oppressive government: blaming their religion for their miserable plight. Which I suppose could explain why so many Bangladeshis visit this forum; a sense of injustice meted out on them by their brothers in faith during their struggle for independence, all in the name of Islam - to this day, Islamist parties struggle in elections due to their association with the Pakistanis' brutal campaign against the freedom fighters.

    Clicked White European, which is a shitty option for ethnicity as the term itself covers several different ethnicities. I'd say the same for Indians as well, when I used to mix with a lot of Indians I began to pick up if they came from northern or southern India. There are some subtle differences. Fuck, even with the French you can tell a native Parisian to a native from the south of France.

    My dad's family is Russian (technically Ashkenazi) Jewish, but my dad is virtually physically indistinguishable from a Levant/Palestine area Arab in terms of skin tone and facial features. My mom claims to be totally white European but that's not really true, she's just racist, a lot of her family is either ethnically European Jewish converts to Christianity (fearing the holocaust and inquisitions) or Christian Arab, also she's all "you're in America speak English" but English wasn't her first language and she worked hard to lose her accent and to pass as a Southern Belle (but I don't know most of her family members well because they either are disingenuous/liars, haven't shown an interest in getting to know me, or are just alcoholics and abusive, so I only really count my dad's family). So I don't know what category that is. Tongue
