They are an organisation of conservative political Muslims who are working to re-establish the Islamic Caliphate or Khilafah.

How are they going to do that?

They're ostensibly a non-violent organisation that seeks to establish a 'true' Islamic government, based on the orthodox Shariah, by political activism, propagation of their particular ideology among other Muslims, and so forth. I assume that they ultimately would like to gain significant influence in government, have their party elected to the executive, and thus re-shape their host state into one that conforms to Islamic law, as they see it.

I almost joined this group for several months. They basically want to start an Islamic revolution through non-violent means in order to re-establish the caliphate. They have written a lot of books about it and have made a lot of slick documentaries, about Muslim identity and the War on Terror. They have a lot more sway in countries like Indonesia where they can fill stadiums. In the UK people usually just laugh at them... crazy bastards.

How are they going to do that?

I asked the guy this very question. He was like "we need to convert enough people to stage a bloodless coup".

anyways.. Eliphaz is right.. they have a non-violent approach

Hizb ut Tahrir are ostensibly 'peaceful', but in reality their ideology and methodologies feed into the atmospherics of extremism that forms a continuum with violent action.

I, like Eliphaz, nearly joined Hizb-ut-Tahrir. These guys are pretty much the 'political' version of Al-Qaeda who want to impose Islamic theocracy on the entire world via the political system. I would link to their youtube channel as their videos represent their views quite well but they annoy me so much that I won't even bother.

They actively oppose secularism, thinking it is an evil of the kaafiruun that needs to be totally destroyed to pave way for the Sharii'ah.

i.e. they're cuntwadded dicksucking virginfuckfantasizing fuckers.

All I know is that the universe is a beautiful & complicated place. I think we are beautiful beings. Everyday I find something to marval at. I just hope I don't get burned in eternal torment because I miscalculated the truth level of a 7th Century camel salesman's feverish rantings. ~ BlackDog
