I'm guessing after you read Asalamu Alikum you thought to yourself oh! it's another sad lost muslim. Well, I might be a muslim, an atheist or an agnostic. I don't know what I am anymore, but I still find the words "Peace be upon you" to be the best of greetings, whatever I am.

Anyway, I'll keep this short and simple, saving all else to the more intriguing parts of this wonderful forum.

You will all understand if I don't provide additional information about myself lest one of the extremists tracks me down and decides he wants to kill me in the name of holy Jihad.

I've been reading silently in the forums, watching and learning from the shadows. But I decided that the time has come for me to be a little more active.

I hope that all of you welcome me amongst you.

     thnkyu

I'm open for debate (of why we should re-/embrace Islam), but I will no longer participate in this forum. Message me if you need anything. Good luck and may you all find your way... again...

Welcome to the forum, luftazure. hugs

Don't worry about not giving away too much personal information.  We all limit how much we reveal about ourselves, and for those in Muslim countries the danger is slightly higher.  Some people are less paranoid than others.

    Enjoy the forum. victory

Hey, welcome, I'm a former American convert and I lived in Egypt for 4 1/2 years. I certainly understand your feelings on being cautious, but the great news is you have found a place to share your thoughts freely and without judgment. Most of us went through a questioning process and it can be terrifying, especially when those closest to you might reject you for being honest. So come hang out with us. Most of us don't bite and whatever questions you have, most likely you'll find someone who has thought the same thing and posted on it. But feel free to start your own threads, for or against Islam, or somewhere in between.  far away hug
