Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione. Haven't actually started it yet but will do soon.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

Read The Blind Owl by Sadegh Hedayat the other day.

I already know that I'll be revisiting it fugaciously for the rest of my life.

I'm trying to procure an electronic copy of The Unbearable lightness of Being by Milan Kundera. I've been meaning to read it for a couple of years now.

So after seeing Apocalypse in ancient Egypt at the end of the latest X-Men movie, it reminded of a comic I wanted to check out which I now have and am about to start reading.

Between 2 books at the moment, serious and non serious.

Shades of difference - why skin colour matters - by Evelyn Nakano Glenn

    and

The Black Prism - by Brent Weeks  (I like fantasy)

Time to log off and enjoy some non serious book time.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

Reading the Young Atheists Handbook by Alom Shaha. It's decent but it can be a bit tedious at times. The autobiographical sections are brilliant and really do resonate with me since we have similar backgrounds. But there are large sections of the book where he just endlessly quotes other people and those sections tend to be really weak and uninteresting. I wish he had enough confidence in his own voice to to speak about certain topics rather than constantly deferring to others.

Just finished reading Shadow War by Pakistani writer Arif Jamal. It is the story of Jihad in Kashmir. It is worth reading if you follow the politics in Greater India.

Psychoanalysis and the challenge of Islam - Fethi  Benslama

Uses Lacan's version of psychoanalysis, so we get some pretty radical shit when it comes to Hagar, Ruqayya and Khadijah.

    Tehlikeli Oyunlar - Oğuz Atay

Crazy turkish stream-of-consciousness novel dealing with shantytown life in Istanbul.

Update: Mediocre read. Alright to pass the time I suppose, wouldn't recommend past that. Bit disappointing.

I am currently reading Richard Dawkins' The Selfish Gene. Very interesting perspective on evolution, natural selection, and the evolution of altruism.
