Sorry for the delay.
I watched the video by Jerry Coyne and the video after as well.
What's your education background regarding this subject? Your question is virtually asking for a crash course in evolution. Maybe you could be more specific in what you desire to understand about evolution and/or what you may disagree with.
I read a lot of stuff. I've researched the topic but I don't think I know much. I'm still researching parts of genetic mutation, and macro-evolution.
Lots of videos here, but since you have studied this subject deeply, I want to try to understand it as linked with the thought process.
I know that evolution does not answer the question of how to the first cell. That's another branch, but since theories need to work in congruence with other theories that is a question to look into.
I had a number of thoughts come up as I thought through the theory. But I'll just go with one.
I know that there are two proponents to evolution. The overwhelming majority who say that change was very very gradual, over millions of years. The other say evolution happened in large jumps spaced out. The latter have been debunked I believe.
However, if we go with the former, as you probably already know, some things are irreducibly complex. Many of these things could not possibly evolve, so how would they make such a large jump? An example is bats. I was told in evolution that bats evolved from small rodents who slowly grew wings. But if this was the case, there would be during the process large time when the legs would be too small to run or walk properly, yet not strong enough to fly.
