So you are dismissing an entire collection of music because you don't like the label that groups it together? I'm not sure but I would think that taking such a blanket view with such ease is pretention in and of itself

Yeah post rock is basically just a title for similar sounding music, mostly instrumental, mostly emotional, dreamy, etc..
nothin much 'posty' about it per se

Sigur ros is the only band that has remained one of my favorite bands for the last ten years...they stand the test of time!
