I have noticed alot of the more advanced theology of Islam seems to have been the product of the minds of some of the scholars themselves which they have tried to entertain by finding a passage/verse within the Quran that might supposedly resemble.
Many reasons could be behind this...
1) if they introduced something new, it would be a fitna, so they tried to use the Quran to back themselves up
I think this is a tactic that has been notoriously used by the Sufis to conceal their heresy
2) since Islam is already well-established they would rather fit in with the overall Islamic religious community to propound their doctrines
3) even though they have indepedently arrived with these, they have fooled themselves into thinking that it is these verses that have alluded what they themselves arrived at
This to me highlights the deficiency of the Quran.
Religious views and ideas clearly have gotten more complicated and elaborate over time.
The Quran doesn't contain any "deeper" meanings in them as adamantly as Muslims claim.
Most of us here are Atheists so we don't even entertain the slightest notion of a "Creator" etc but bear with me and assume for the sake of discussion that there may be a Creator
so as to gauge the credibility of the Quran being perhaps from this Creator
as such now let's attempt to analyze whether or not the Quran may be appropriately a scripture from this "Creator" or could it have been the work of anyone else
Considering that as per Islamic tradition Muhammad is the "prophet" who speaks of "revelations" from this "Creator". Our objective would be to assert through reason that it is Muhammad who came up with it.
I think there is only so much of "interpretation" one may be able to acquire from a literature.
The Quran makes alot of claims for itself
1) its author is the Creator of the universe
2) it is the sole scripture for all of mankind in order to follow religion that is recognized as valid at least, as per this Creator
3) eternal damnation and humiliation for denying or mocking it
4) rejecting it in any way is the fault of the person doing so, mainly due to intellectual and moral deficiency/corruption
5) it is clear and has got valuable advice/knowledge to offer etc
when one inspects the Quran and makes a reasonable judgement of it based on the obvious, really there is hardly anything to think of otherwise than that Muhammad himself could have authored it
I'm sorry but how much fucking brains does it require to write this piece of shit?
