  • Facebook problem
     OP - December 22, 2010, 05:08 PM

OK so the weirdest thing has happened  my computer. I can browse ANY website just fine apart from Facebook. The internet connection is stable and fairly fast but sometimes I can't access Facebook of all websites. This happens every 1-2 hours and can last as much as 10-15 mins.

Its usually some form of Bandwidth issue etc etc on the websites side, will probably be ok in a while

On the otherhand, you could always try deleting your browser data/history
(such as cache, temporary cookies etc etc) and see if that helps.

    Extra possibility:
Flash issue with the browser, try a different one like Opera or IE and see if the same happens on those aswell.

Tried IE, working just fine. What do I need to do to get rid of the problem? (I hate IE)

I'm not there to see it, so I can only provide universally common fixes
    Some possible options are:

deleting all your browser history (as stated above)
    or
download newest available browser (if available)
    or
Install new updates for browser (if available)
    or
Use different browser (Opera, chrome etc etc)

Ofcourse the risk with any of those is that:
    1) Not 100% guaranteed to fix the issue
2)May remove all saved passwords, bookmarks etc etc

    Other options:
    1) It's facebooks issue and it will probably start working in a day or two.
    2) The browser will fix itself somehow (restarting/rebooting the computer sometimes helps)
    3) Registry issue (download Eusing registry cleaner and clean it up)

Personally I think 'other option 1' is the most likely, so i'd wait a few days before doing any of the above

I don't think it's a Facebook issue because it's working fine on IE. I'll delete the cookies but not the browsing history.

Thanks a lot for your help.  Afro
