Kacem al-Ghazali, a young Moroccan atheist who has publicly expressed his atheism has since been subjected to threats and verbal abuse and is under threat of arrest.

This is a recent phone call he got.

When I was watching this, i was wondering who is really the religious and who is the athiest. Cuz that muslim has a big mouth of profanity.

Samjha = Understood in Hindi...

Anyways where I live phone calls and any audio recordings cannot be used as evidence to charge or defend/accuse someone in court except if its tracing the line of the call and patterns of calling etc.

The poor guy had to leave his village into another one, and now he has to get out of the country.
I dunno, but something about him, his confidence and his face makes me wanna come out of the closet. But I fear I'm not as braveheart as he is

Ali, I have nephews your age. I think the issue of being brave can be put aside when you are as young as you are. The reality is that the society you live in is very hostile towards atheists and out-of-the-closet homosexuals, I say lay low until you can gain your independence to make your stand.

Thanks Ali - sorry I didn't mean to have a go at you. I was a school teacher for 25 years and so can't resist the urge to tell youngsters to curb their youthful exuberance and tone it down a little.

Just sent an email to the Moroccan embassy and am writing a hand written letter right now.

So once again I'm left with the classic Irish man's dilemma, do I eat the potato or do I let it ferment so I can drink it later?
