Personally, I think that the Quran asks us to believe in Al Jinn in the same fashion it asks us to believe in the scriptures, angels and the day of judgement and even Allah himself. That's called faith. So if you believe in for example angels, that's faith and not superstition.
Here are some examples of superstition though:
- Believing that the Jinn can possess a human, then they do some dances that involve a lot of twirling, certain verses and cloudy smokes of incense to get it out.
- Believing in a certain magic that is claimed that it could only be performed by rejecting Allah and bowing to the Jinn to gain their trust and their help. An example of that would be to curse someone leading to loss of health or money... etc.
- The funny thing is that the Hadith mention that he who believes in magic could not go to heaven, same as he who drinks alcohol, while the Quran does talk about Magic like in the story of Harut and Marut.
- Believing that dates and camel urine have supernatural powers. One example is a hadith that claims that if you eat 7 of a certain brand of dates for breakfast, you cannot be sick on that day.
- Also there's a hadith about Honey from flowers of Habet El Baraka (it's like black sesame, and the name literally means "the grain of blessing") can cure ANY sickness. Bad news for pharmacists lol.
- Thinking that it's wrong to put your slipper upside down coz then it would be pointing at the face of God.

- Assuring everyone that it is a sin to put any book above the Quran or to place the Quran on the floor. I once had an argument with a guy and then he called me an insolent fool INSIDE THE MOSQUE coz I was praying with a copy of the Quran on the ground next to me. I mean what the hell was I supposed to do there were no tables

- You can only pray while you are barefoot although no Hadeeth or Ayat claim that, at least not the ones that I know of.
- You can only pray on a prayer rug if you're not praying in the mosque. It's wrong to pray on, for example, a carpet.
- Believing that the sound of a donkey braying attracts devils.
- If a rooster sings at night that means it has seen an angel and has confused its light with that of the sunrise.
- Should I say any more?

I would love some comments on these
