Do you have sexual impulses towards children?

Come now Desi, must I spell things out for you? When I say that pedophilia is a naturally occuring phenomenon I am echoing the conventional medical diagnosis of men attracted to the underaged. If it isn't a psychiatric condition why do pedophiles need chemical castration? The medication is designed to banish their naturally occuring proclivities.

its only a matter of weeks

    I will be 18.

Before we dance the good dance, you must feed me soya and tofu.

We've spoken about this before. I do not want to feed any Desi from whose breath radiate gales upon gales of curry. Why should I put up with your toxic fumes when I can't even mount you without sharing a prison cell with a tattooed bouncer who greets people as "Hi, My name is Spike, Honey"? Fuhgeddaboutit.

Funny, but I don't treat my gay lovers in that fashion. I put my lips on them. Ask Donny.

    @Q-Man

A thousand apologies if I gave the impression that everyone who dissents from my view is my intellectual inferior. It's just you.

You contend with the triumphant air of a hen laying an oversized egg that factory farming is a capitalist institution when every schoolgirl of ten knows that under the Leninists in Russia and the Maoists in China and the half dozen other such workers’ paradise there was nary a thought for animal welfare. The exploitation of animals can be observed in every industrialised country. The free market system has grave defects, but none that a man with an IQ south of ten like you can identify.

A person, you maintain, cannot be exercised about animal suffering till he wars on all other forms of evil. To which I respond have you done anything to better the lot of AIDS sufferers lately as you stampede with your Bolshevik mates to bring down the establishment. A point you’ve neatly side stepped. I take your silence to mean that you realise the moral imbecility of your remark and agree with the Hairy Turk.

Dissent I can bear for we are not living under the dictatorship of the proletariat; I relish mental combat and treat dissenting voices with respect when I encounter them if only to refine my own worldview so I don’t quite understand the charge of arrogance; but you offer no arguments that might plausibly fit that description except to bellow “I Like Eating Meat Bitch!”  Very cute.  I will fetch you a steak when I come round for a tumble on the bed tonight. But not quite in keeping with the rigours of intellectual debate.
Thanks for this. I will cherish it till my spirit takes flight. Call it churlish, but I can’t return the compliment.

More strawman bullshit. That attempted alternatives to capitalism did not produce a change in factory farming conditions does not change the fact that capitalism created factory farming in the first place, nor have I taken the position that Leninist models would lead to the abolition of factory farming.

As to the rest, fuck you, MAB. For all your fancy language all your posts basically boil down to-- (1) I'm right (2) You're wrong (3) Now I'm going to rape you/some other sexual reference. You're nothing but a pretentious and erudite troll.

Something tells me either you weren't slapped around enough as a kid, or slapped around too much. Which is it?

    fuck you

    @Q-Man

It is my firm conviction that everyone has the right to be stupid, but you abuse the privilege. You think it is a character defect for me to hold that my views are correct, little realising that no man thinks his views are wrong for otherwise he would not hold them. I  invited you to puncture holes in the vegetarian creed. You chose to respond with announcing death to veggies, proving the theory common among medical men that commies have their brains surgically removed.

My feelings were hurt when I once poked a buffalo in the eye and watched as tears dripped from it onto its face.

I really respect your views muddy  Afro

However it's like Q-man said. It's all about our position in the food chain. It is not our responsibility how these animals, birds or fish are handled.

I have a farm and we raise all kinds of livestock and we treat them the way we would treat dogs because the peasants fear God (there's a mosque next to the farm which my grandfather built).

So after a fulfilling life, they are... ahem... KILLED for their meat.

But that's not why I don't like meat. I just don't like the smell or the blood of the uncooked meat.

I believe dairy and eggs are just fine.

As for the video, it's like going to a gay men's party in a country and then saying that all men in this country are gay. Not that it's a bad thing muddy, I'm just giving an example here.

I'm open for debate (of why we should re-/embrace Islam), but I will no longer participate in this forum. Message me if you need anything. Good luck and may you all find your way... again...

It's all about our position in the food chain. It is not our responsibility how these animals, birds or fish are handled.

The way they are handled or not, it is outright cruel to slaughter animals for their meat. May be eating dead animal's meat who died its natural death might not be that cruel.
Also, it is totally our fault to increase demand. In western countries, rather then increasing the price, they industrialized the process to keep the cost low.If we stop demanding, they won't kill more animals.

Lol me neither. this topic always gets squeezed out of proportion for no reason other than that meat-eaters want to hate on veggies and veggies on meat-eaters.

I am a vegetarian and i am above this drama (after having engaged in a few sessions myself lol)!

but yeah you guys carry on insulting eachother, its all very entertaining.

Seriously guys, it was only supposed to be one shout in the shout box. It turned into pages and pages full of debate.. You eat meat, good for you! You may be easily able to sleep at night, but I simply can't if I ever eat meat again! I would remember the facial expressions of that baby pig!

Why make a thread about it then? You presented your thoughts on a public forum, and this public doesn’t mince words. When you enter an arena of ideas, yours are fair game.

I don’t mind people like MAB talking about it. He raises some of the more interesting dilemmas that are involved in this particular topic and drops the occasional factoid to chew on or recommendation to check out. Sure, his ethical model is selective to meet his own ends and is arbitrary upon deeper investigation, but who’s isn’t? It works for him, great. He is hurting nobody with it, and overall it’s quite a respectable one, well meant for the most part. It is not a monolith of all things correct, though. Quite the contrary.

But people like you, when you throw in “Killing any live being that have feelings and can smile is just like eating your own baby” I just have to get involved. It’s the lowest form of criticism you can find. Shallow, ill-thought out, unconsciously dishonest criticism that falls apart due to its own internal inconsistencies. I’m not even going to explain to you what the difference is in your little assertion because you already know. And if you honestly don’t know, you’ll probably never know. If you don’t know, then you are either incredibly stupid, playing devil's advocate, or an inhumane bastard with only superficial morality offered to us to garner praise and attention for yourself. Fuck that. I need a little more substance if you want me to take you seriously. I need a little more meat to chew on.

Go away and think about it more. There is nothing worse than a fresh evangelical born-again advocate of an old idea.

Too fucking busy, and vice versa.

Look at this nine-pizzas-knave. The vast bulk of vegetarians by far and away live in India. No urban setting, no bulging bank balance. And I welcome the day when you quit taking pot shots from the side lines and try to grapple with the moral issues. Quit hiding behind others like a skirt-clutching pusssy and cowboy-up.

    Maybe your just sentimental

A pregnant women stitched your cloths in a factory working 24hour shifts with little pay.
The car you drive is destroying our atmosphere every day.
The country that you live so comfortably in was built on blood and rape and pillaging and slavery.

In order to FEEL PAIN you must have the concept of pain. The concept of pain comes about from consistent rules governing it . These rules stem from our LANGUAGE game. An animal only has rudimentary signals and even that is just monkeys etc. An animal does not no pain so therefore cannot experience it. Killing it would just be another event. I cant STAND people Anthropomorphising animals . FUCKING pisses me of
