  • If you could kill Muhammad, would you?
     OP - April 05, 2011, 12:38 AM

Imagine you live in 7th century Arabia...
Imagine you are very religious and seek truth...
Imagine you run into a Muslim in Mecca who tells you about Islam...
Imagine you convert because you like the peaceful message...
    But..

Imagine while time goes by you watch as Muhammad changes...
He starts asking super obedience and asks for his followers including you to start butchering those who do not believe him (most Arabs)
Imagine you thinking to yourself, Islam is no longer a religion but a political ideology being imposed by force...
Imagine you watch as Muhammad breaks his own rules and marries whoever he wants, asks the murder of whoever he wants... has sex with a kid, thousands are slaughtered because he said so... he begins stealing from others, kills anyone who is critical of his actions... you watch as your fellow muslims turn into fanatic murderers who fantasize over murdering those who see Muhammad for what he is, a warlord wanting to gain more power through violence...

Would you kill him to stop the madness?

Muhammad lied... he invented Islam for power, money and sex...xxx

I'd give him a copy of The Satanic Verses and then run back to the time machine before he got a chance to go all Asma bint Marwan on my ass.

I have very limited knowledge of this Satanic verses, what made Muslims so angry over Salman rushdies book?

  • Re: If you could kill Muhammad, would you?

Its actually a very strange novel. The parts that made Muslims angry are not part of the main narrative. They are part of dream sequences of a character who imagines himself becoming a prophet in a desert. The setting of this madness-dream is similar to Mohammad's story, and includes a scene in which some women in a brothel have the names of some of Mo's wives.

The actual main story is about a couple of Indians in London and their adventures in a kind of phantasmagorical magic-realist London. One of them gets delusions and has these dreams. The Satanic Verses is supposed to be the parts of the Quran that were recited by Satan to fool Mohammad or something like that. Even though it is all allegorical, he plays fast and loose with Mohammad's mythology.

The Jamaat-e-Islami, Maududi disciples of England, first of all in Bradford but then elsewhere around the country, started agitating, burning the book, making threats, demanding Rushdie's book be banned, started getting their knickers in a twist about blasphemy, going on massive marches to Hyde Park as if it was a civil rights movement, then somebody took the book to the Ayatollah and the fatwa was issued.

the same argument comes into play in this case, why is Islam and Muslims so insecure about criticism of their believes.

Just a comment Pashtun., Islam is a concept it doesn't care who criticizes whom.,  Actually many Muslims are not insecure if you criticize them and  their ritualistic religious behavior but Muslims are insecure w.r.t. Islam.  Specially criticism of Quran and Prophet Muhammad is completely prohibited.  And that is because They are brought up right from the child age "making Quran & Muhammad" greater than  their parents and  even greater than the original deity Allah.    Many Muslim folks  are realizing now how vastly different is their understanding of Islam is. And this started just 4 or 5 years back., that is because of this Jinni  internet. I believe in the next 10-15 years the planet  will change dramatically and I have a hope no one cares about whose religion is what and no one cares who criticizes which religion..

No, it would be too late at that stage.  That would be like killing Hitler after the Nazis had already taken power and invaded Poland.  Goering or somebody would just take over.  What would be the point in killing the figurehead at that stage?  It wouldn't make any difference to the existence of the movement.

Personally, I'd shake Mo by the hand. And whilst he's lulled into a false sense of security, I'd quickly knee him in the balls. Hard... Whilst he's bent over in pain, recovering from this, I'd muster all the strength I have and channel it into an uppercut straight into his beautiful face... At this stage, I might utter the words, 'That's for everything you've put me through, asshole'.

I'm not a violent man, so I'd leave it at that.

I am worried about you Ishina., you are really a very complex personality with complicated thinking, You run from advanced science to  childish dreams to writing  intellectual posts..   lol.,   What do you do ? student of Biology?? are you working for your Ph. D.?

No killing Muhammad is no use or dreaming about a  terminator back in time to terminate Muhammad when he was a helpless child /young buy/man  without parents is also no use and unacceptable for your healthy thinking .. lol..

Let me briefly write Muhammad's life here ., I was reading that  lady "Shandana Minhas"

who often writes here and there such as Chowk     http://www.chowk.com/writers/541  and she wrote a  book  “Tunnel Vision” couple of years back., she wrote  a  column about present Islam.. Taliban etc..etc.. at http://www.thenews.com.pk/daily_detail.asp?id=174333 with a heading " Don't shoot the messenger" in that she says
    Quote
... The "Islamic idea and standards"  to which Jinnah referred can best be illustrated by a look at the  life of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).   Way back in the 7th century Arabia he accepted a marriage proposal from a widowed trader 15 years his senior. She was not only his boss but also the first convert to Islam.[/background] He identified her strength, her intelligence, her understanding and her companionship as invaluable assets in his journey of self-discovery as well as the society he was striving to build. What would the Taliban, with their Pre-Islamic tribalism, their ignorant, defensive distrust of the feminine, their propensity for blowing up schools, shooting female activists, and beating others into submission, make of a woman like Hazrat Khadijah Bint Khuwayld (RA), in charge of her own destiny, today?.....

She is a  very well educated lady but that is what she understands about the life Prophet of Islam.   It is clear   no one told the real story of Islamic Prophet  after the death of his first wife   Khadija  and there are literally billions of  people that never read/never explored Prophet's life  after he crosses that golden age 50.   So on the way of Killing Prophet of Islam by sending a terminator with time Wrap, let us explore and read Prophet Muhammad's life year by  year.. 63 years..in this thread., specially last 13 year of his life.

The time line of Prophet Muhammad' s life  is as follows. Here is the 1st part of his life

    Quote
571: Birth of the Holy Prophet. Year of the Elephant. Invasion of Makkah by Abraha the Viceroy of Yemen, his retreat.
577: The Holy Prophet visits Madina with his mother. Death of his mother.
580: Death of Abdul Muttalib, the grandfather of the Holy Prophet.
583: The Holy Prophet's journey to Syria in the company of his uncle Abu Talib. His meeting with the monk Bahira at Bisra who foretells of his prophethood.
586: The Holy Prophet participates in the war of Fijar.
591: The Holy Prophet becomes an active member of "Hilful Fudul", a league for the relief of the distressed.

So our Muhammad, an young boy grew up in his uncles/grand father's house until  this time had absolutely normal  character with  no evidence any Prophetism  character in him.,  He is already a 22 year old guy.  Now let us look in to the 2nd part of his life. Where he becomes the Manager of the business of Lady Khadija  and when he was was 25 year old,  marries that 40 year old rich, good looking  and powerful business lady of the  town
    Quote
594: The Holy Prophet becomes the Manager of the business of Lady Khadija, and leads her trade caravan to Syria and back.
595: The Holy Prophet marries Hadrat Khadija. Seventh century
605: The Holy Prophet arbitrates in a dispute among the Quraish about the placing of the Black Stone in the Kaaba.

Unitl this day., that is Mr. Muhammad was a 40 year old guy, there was absolutely no hint any messenger or prophet job for him from Allah. , This messenger/prophet game starts when he turns in to a 41 year old guy so let us go to the third part of his life.
    Quote
610: The first revelation in the cave at Mt. Hira. The Holy Prophet is commissioned as the Messenger of God.
613: Declaration at Mt. Sara inviting the general public to Islam.
614: Invitation to the Hashimites to accept Islam.

So Prophet start preaching his Islam. singing songs on the roads and insulting pagan gods of Mecca when ever he gets a chance., The town people no one cared until this time  he hardly  had ~200 people who joined his congregation. Now this 4th part of his life and  apparently starts with town people persecuting/insulting him. Often these people were his own uncles and aunts/his clan. Clearly he and his followers insulting their gods and they started insulting him his cult followers.
    Quote
615: Persecution of the Muslims by the Quraish. A party of Muslims leaves for Abyssinia.
    616: Second Hijrah to Abysinnia.
617: Social boycott of the Hashimites and the Holy Prophet by the Quraish. The Hashimites are shut up in a glen outside Makkah.
619: Lifting of the boycott. Deaths of Abu Talib and Hadrat Khadija. Year of sorrow.
620: Journey to Taif. Ascension to the heavens.

So that is the persecution., a careful look in to the early islamic history from Muslims themselves tells me,., this persecution  at the best was nothing more than singing songs against each other or insulting each other with "FUCK YOU WORDS".. prophet's real Islam comes  after the death of his first wife and  the guy is already 49/50 year old guy. So his REAL ISLAM startes in the nex 13 years of his life .,  which is filled with wars/expeditions/killings and looting.

    Quote
    621: First pledge at Aqaba.
622: Second pledge at Aqaba. The Holy Prophet and the Muslims migrate to Yathrib.
    623: Nakhla expedition.
624: Battle of Badr. Expulsion of the Bani Qainuqa Jews from Madina.
625: Battle of Uhud. Massacre of 70 Muslims at Bir Mauna. Expulsion of Banu Nadir Jews from Madina. Second expedition of Badr.
    626: Expedition of Banu Mustaliq.
627: Battle of the Trench. Expulsion of Banu Quraiza Jews.[/color]
628: Truce of Hudaibiya. Expedition to Khyber. The Holy Prophet addresses letters to various heads of states.
629: The Holy Prophet performs the pilgrimage at Makkah. Expedition to Muta (Romans).
630: Conquest of Makkah. Battles of Hunsin, Auras, and Taif.
631: Expedition to Tabuk. Year of Deputations.
    632: Farewell pilgrimage at Makkah.
632: Death of the Holy Prophet

So in these 13 years of his life Prophet Marries 13 women and another 13 concubines one was a child other was adopted son's wife. With all that in his life he allegedly writes/preaches all that we see in Quran.

So with that time line in mind let us explore life of Prophet of Islam   Muhammad's life   in this thread.  This is a sort of complimentary information to that thread of my good friend Methuselah at  http://forum09.faithfreedom.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=1961.,

we  will explore  his last 13 years  bit more details., and question is Do we need to kill that guy in 21st century??

    with best
