  • Debunk this
     OP - April 05, 2011, 03:29 PM

My aunt posted this on facebook, I assume it is directed towards me. It is in Urdu, but in a nut-shell it is talking about a place which is pretty much prohibitted area, where people of Samood were punished. Those people suposidly created huge buildings from mountains, and used to make fun of God. I really like responses from you guys. We can make video response.

    Muddy,

I have to agree with the troll formerly known as turtle. You are cornered. Doesn't seem that you can disprove Thamoud story. Try distracting them with Atlantis.

I think I will write something on my status like:

"God doesn't send wrath to people just because some bearded guys do bunch of Gibber jabber in religious accent. God cannot even move these tiny balls.."

Now I am trying to find the video someone posted here about the moving balls (pendulums). Can anyone help me find it?

^ muddy , i think it was related to prayer?

although, why not rephrase  the last part to , Why let this guy go free? and post the video.

I think it provides a realistic opportunity for a response, as apposed to ,"whatever, why would God move the ball if an infidel asked him to challenged him"

K, I've watched this. This is the place that is being referred:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mada'in_Saleh#Post-Nabatean_and_Roman

According to the tv program + quran that place was destroyed by allah when people fell to idolatory, whereas on Wikipedia it says that the roman empire annexed these people, and it gives sources:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mada'in_Saleh#Post-Nabatean_and_Roman
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nabatean_kingdom#Roman_annexation

Someone else might be able to debunk this in more detail..

Awesome work L2PK.. Although after reading your links, specially this line:
    Quote
There is no more building of sumptuous tombs, owing apparently to some sudden catastrophe, such as an invasion by the neo-Persian power under the Sassanid Empire.

I think they can fit Allah's wrath right there. I think we need to do more research on this.

No you don't muddy. You can read all the wisdom there is out there about Thamoud, including scientific research but that will not help convince someone who thinks bringing them up is a good argument for Allah in the first place of anything. Even in my most radical days I would not have dared to ask some kafir a stupid question "how do you explain 'Ad an Thamoud then, bitch?". They are assuming that anything in the Koran does not need to be proven. It's there already, it's the truth. You are totally working in the wrong direction. Ignore Thamoud, I tell you for the second time. Ask them to prove that the Koran is perfect and true instead, or somethinkg... idk.

muddy, ask her why god has never recovered a limb for an amputee.
why god slammed japan with a tsunami.. THEN ask her why god slammed
SE asia prior to that (if she said its cuz they are kufr)

Ask her why men have nipples? LOL  Ask her if god made man in his image,
why there are hermaphrodites, middle sexes, indistinguishable sex organs
when some babies are born.  Is a middle sex person, born with both genders,
then have one of them surgically removed, but the child grows up being the
gender that was surgically removed, are they gay?  And if god made hair in
various places, why it has to be waxed or shaven off? After all we ARE made
    in his/her/its image, right? lol

J&T, I don't think his aunt is Christian so the image thing wont work, but nipples might.

Ad and Thamud were just fairytales, legends. Yeah, these buildings carved from mountains still exist but I look at them just as I look at the Egyptian Pyramids, just remnants of ancient civilizations.
