I bet everyone loves Trip Hop. Let’s have a thread about it.

It’s hard to say what Trip Hop is. Many of the iconic artists considered Trip Hop defy classification and acknowledge no boundaries between genres. But it is essentially the sound of mid-90’s British post-acid experimental underground, a bohemian collective of musical ideas, and there are patterns for your ears to find. It typically makes use of hip hop drum breaks, trippy ambience, soulful vocals, as well as that groovy, smoky, sexy jazz vibe.

I used to love trip hop also, And I love that Massive Attack song also. It is second only to ‘Kormocoma’ on my Massive Attack list (I’d post that now, but access to You Tube is restricted at my work ).

Yeah, I can't decide which one I like more, the original or the remake, but I thought the remake was more trip-hoppy.

Fook, that bass and hip hop break, so typically trip hop. Quite cliched already. And then they add in that Raggae-ish sound every now and then. Very clever!

You can also pick up some ghost town/wasteland-ish(whatever) electronic distortion thingy.(which I absolutely love, is that an ambient thing?)
