    Quote
I was once told that anyone can sing so long as they've trained the right muscles.

That is true. As long as you can speak then you technically have the ability to sing too. The only exception is if you suffer from dysmusia (actual tone deafness).

It's not a case of "you've either got it or you don't" which is a mistaken belief.

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

^opera requires huge lung capacity rather than great vocal range, we can do exercises to increase the capacity, and the rest is straight forward singing imo  : )

I sound like a wounded whale when I attempt singing.....not in a beautiful yet tortured way, in a "OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT HORRIFIC NOISE SOMEONE PLEASE PUT IT OUT OF ITS MISERY" way.  Cheesy To be fair, tho, no one else in my family can sing for shit either.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I have a sonic screwdriver, a tricorder, and a Type 2 phaser.

Does the song has to be in English?

"For we decieve ourselves by looking for death ahead of us, whereas a great part of death has already taken place. Whatever part of life is behind us is possessed by death." - Seneca

English translations would be nice, but not mandatory.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I might try in Urdu if someone asks for it. I like humming old songs, they are much more harder to translate.

Don't feel you have to wait to be asked. Smiley

    Slightly drunk singing.

Edit: Fucked up the recording. It has the song I intended, then plays the end of where I had it with music, then starts partway through another one.

Edit 2: Apparently happymurtad likes it. I was going to delete it but I suppose I could leave it and let people have a laugh at my expense. Grin

    Thoughts?

Nice. You should do a CEMB version with the chorus hallelua.

You are officially no longer a Californian. You've got native. You are now Texan.

I wish I could control my vibrato as well as Rag N Bone Man. It's the biggest hurdle I face because my voice is so deep. Most people can't produce enough vibrato but I produce too much.

Look at how beautiful it sounds when properly controlled.
