    I was told
"If we seperate God from morality then there will be divisions. Everyone would be making his own moral standards."

Everyone already does. Regardless of belief in god(s), or which god, or which religion one claims to subscribe to, everyone operates in different ways morally than many others of the same and other subscriptions.

"Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused."

If God is referred to using the texts (bible/quran) then you can clearly see how we already do make up our own morals as a society as we go- as time progresses our view of morality changes. In islam the muslims are told to treat the slaves well, now we have abolished slavery. Women are to be treated like docile ignorant inferiors, now we know better! Rape of female POWs, and marital rape was permitted morally, now it's deemed immoral. In Islam there was a law of muta'a (temporary marriages) which the official sunni scholars have disallowed!

The laws of morality in the quran and other religios texts is altered and translated to suit our changing morality- no muslim/christian/jew lives by the moral code of their text! They pick the 'good' bits and change, manipulate, mistranslate, etc the 'bad' bits to fit what is now deemed right so tell me, how is morality deried from religion!?

The old subjective Vs Objective morality argument. It's boring.

When truth is hurled against falsehood, falsehood perishes, for falsehood by its nature is bound to perish.

Yes, because obviously religious people all agree. Or let's forget all religious people, let's just say obviously Muslims all agree.

"Objective moralities" are a dime a dozen.

They already are. Some just insist that theirs are "objective".

Have you heard the good news? There is no God!
