  • Doesn't it Break Your Heart?
     OP - October 14, 2011, 10:06 PM

Sorry another pissed thread from me even though I always promise not to post when I've had a few.

I feel so much pain for humanity. Such flawed creatures battling against overwhelming odds. Yeah many struggle through - and that is a testament to the human spirit - but so many suffer such tragedy and disappear in silence forgotten. It breaks my heart. And the thought that there may be a God behind it all only makes me angry.

Yeah I saw the post which caused this thread.

Was pretty funny in a "this really isnt funny" kind of way :(

@thread: Of course it breaks my heart. However I have now stopped thinking about such things, before I would think and think about the horrible things that go on in the world. In the end I could not tell if I thought about them because I cared or because I wanted to feel better about pretending to care. I had to concede that as I do nothing to better the situation I must be in the second camp, so now I feel I do not have the right to care unless I am actively doing something to help.

    Dunno if that made sense.

You can see the look of sad resignation on her poor little face  Cry

I don't know which to feel most angry at, those who forced her into prostitution, or those that pay for sex with girls such as her creating the demand for this despicable situation..

    Both! They are the same!

Yes human beings do terrible things. They also do wonderful things.

If we can accept the best in us with pride then we must also come to terms with the worst in us too...

    Little Fly, Thy summer's play
My thoughtless hand has brushed away.

I too dance and drink, and sing,
Till some blind hand shall brush my wing.

Therefore I am a happy fly,
If I live or if I die.
