BOISE -- A Boise man was arrested Saturday morning after he was seen streaking near Military Reserve Park.
Around 5 a.m. an officer on patrol saw a man completely naked in a parking lot at the park. At the time it was very cold outside and had just begun to snow.
The naked man was told to stop and sit down, but ran from police. He ran behind some buildings of Collins Road
and tried to scale a fence with barbed wire on top. He became entangled and officers tried to assist him. He refused to stay still and as he came down off the fence, and the man punched an officer in the face. A struggle ensued and 23-year-old Grant Gardner was taken into custody.
Police noticed the smell of alcohol on the suspect and due to his unusual behavior believe he was under the influence. He was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries, and then taken to jail.
Gardner is charged with battery on an officer, public nudity, resisting and obstructing and public intoxication.
