    You don't consciously choose it...I'm talking about a natural attraction...just analyse all the women/men you've generally found physically attractive, and whether they tend to have similar characteristics etc, mine happen to have some common factor. If you don't, then fine, but it's not 'stupid'.

    Looks wise I have no type, my exes look different from each other. 

    Personality wise I might say I have a type.  Someone who can make me laugh in general. 

    I have talked to guys before who seemed attractive but they were unable to banter with me the way I like to be bantered with, no bounce back, no real understanding of half my obscure jokes.  That is unattractive to me.

    Comedy is an essential ingrediant in my 'type.

    Also the ability to take no for an answer.  Yea, that's my type.

    No, it's not stupid to feel attracted to someone based on their looks, but it would be stupid to exclude a guy for not looking a particular way.

    I find superman's Tom Welling super sexy.  If I had to say a look did it for me it would be his.

    But we might have no click anyway.

    I have found myself head over heels before for men my friends laughed at me for dating, but to me, they were as sexy as tom welling.  I looked at them and saw hotness staring back at me.  All because their personalities were sexy.

    i really have no type. i am equally attracted to many girls of different shapes, hair colours, ethnicities, etc. i don't even get how someone can be attracted to one "type" of person. i'm attracted to people on an individual level, not because they fit a standard.

    Yeah, ok, we get it, personality is important....do I have to write footnote every time?! jeez...I'm exclusively talking about one aspect here, in no place did I say what importance personality has with respect to attraction etc - and I think almost anyone with a few brain cells gets it, that personality is the over-riding factor.

    So, on topic: Just recalled even the first guy I had a crush on in primary school fit into that roughly ^ (although he was a bit chubbier than those)...maybe it was the defining point...that first crush :/

    i'm not saying personality is important and looks aren't. i think looks are important to some degree as well, but i don't judge looks based on an ideal or standard. some of the girls i've been interested in have nothing in common other than that i'm attracted to them.

    Wow, I really have no hope at all, have I! Cheesy I’m laughing because if I didn’t I would Cry. I think that settles my plans for the evening as well.     No. I do tend to prefer tall to short and redhead or brunette to blonde, and of course big boobs, plump ass, and nice legs are always a plus-- but even those aren't hard and fast rules, really depends on the person. The only "type" I may have is in terms of personality-- I'm attracted to girls who have a kick-ass kind of personality, intelligence, and good sense of humor.

    Sometimes, when most folks out of just being nice (or cowardly) however you want to look at it, flatter you on some superficial trait that sometimes can make you take yourself overly seriously.

    You know what I find attractive, is women who say what they feel rather then just being nice for the sake of some perceived reciprocation in the future, how utterly trivial would such a relationship be?

    I have had women tell me, in retrospect that they thought I was an asshole until they actually got to know me beyond my eccentric outbursts, I've had women confide in me because they could trust me to keep a secret, and that has really been one of my very strong principles, and that I never speak bad about them behind their backs to others.

    I always tell them that should be the default anyway. Apparently though I did used to be alot more funnier in the past though.

    But basically, I just be like me I don't care how anyone thinks I am, I met some of the greatest and amazing folks because of the way I am, and I would  not change that for anything.
