  • Why I Left Islam & Goodbye
     OP - December 20, 2011, 09:53 PM

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra9QQ58b7JY

The above video will be my last. Nor will I be posting here on the forum anymore. It has been a pleasure knowing you all - even if only online. You don't know how much you all mean to me. It's been almost 5 years now since I lost my faith (and met Berbs online - a significant moment in my life) - and this has been an amazing and emotional time of my life. I have wanted to cry (I do cry a lot) scream, shout, kick - but mostly I'm overwhelmed with love for God's battered wife - humanity - such stupid lovely creatures.

Thank you all - I have gained so much from you - some of you have changed my life in a very profound way.

    I love you all.

But it really is time for me to move on. No more forums - no more vids.

I will stay in touch with Maryam and CEMB activities - but not as much as before - and also may pop onto the J&T show - I still find that quite fun - but will not be a regular panelist.

    Be good Smiley

     far away hug

Hassan, I have the upmost respect for you.  I really do.  Even though my views on Islam are slightly harsher than yours, I credit you with calming me down somewhat.  You've done far more to help the ex-Muslim cause than anyone else, and you're very very brave for being so open about your apostasy... (unlike me, who's still scared of openly declaring my apostasy!).

I hope this isn't the last we hear from you.  I haven't a feeling it won't be.... here's hoping!  Smiley

All the best, Hassan. For all of your contributions to making the ex-Muslim cause respectable - your videos and writings were essential to convincing me, for one, that the ex-Muslim movement was far more substantial than a mere collection of neo-conservatives and their hangers-on - thank you.

For what it's worth, you have my utmost respect.

    Take care Hassan.

As you already know your vids were integral to my deconversion - your humanity came across so strongly when you critiqued Islam. Thank you.

It's a shame, but I respect your decision.

I hope you and your family have a fulfilling life, and I look forward to seeing you on the J and T show.

    Regards.
