    So, HAI Tongue

As the title says^ I'm going to go right ahead and get stuck in.

I'm getting a haircut later today, booked an appointment (today, almost spontaneously lol).  piggy

Currently my hair comes down to about an inch below my shoulders, and it has some layers, I have very thin hair too and it waves quiet a bit and sometimes when I don't blow dry it, it genuinely looks moderately curly.

My natural hair is something like this, except not that style cut atm:

I want it low maintenance, I'm thinking:

...and I can't find any Tongue

So far: I like the fringe cut on this style:

    Any suggestions please?

And do you think I should try a colour change?

Think i'll keep the same length more or less, get a fringe and re-layered

the short haircut would suit you but if you want it low maintenance it might not be what you should go for, since your hair isnt straight it wont look like that and give that effect unless you traighten it which would make it a high maintenance cut

Yeah, it won't look as good as hers^ lol, but I want something different tho, so will probably get some kind of fringe.

    Haircut in 2 hours! >.<

Yeahhhh....lol nah, I think the colouring is too daring for me Tongue

Yeah, might go with a fringe like Alba's or have it sweep to the side.

Do you think it's gross and rude to go to the hairdressers with greasy hair? LOL, I haven't washed it. I'm going for a cut and blow dry....so I don't want to have it washed twice in a day ._.

I never wash my hair the day I'm going to get a hair cut. I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth otherwise! Grin

Also, yeah I don't want to wash/style it twice in a day.

I'll blame it on you guys if they react funny to my horrible hair Tongue

You know what Artemis, I'm going to go for it! one time i tried to get it a shade of brown but it didn't come out, so going to try a semi perm lighter shade >.< wish me luck! lol

    later

wacko No, that colour wouldn't look good on me, I think you imagine I'm lighter than I am. WEBCAM makes my skin look several shades lighter!!

Anyway, didn't get it coloured, since there wasn't time, took an hour just for cut and blow dry, and they close at 5. Next time.

    Thanks Smiley

    >.< You don't think that looks kind of too fake? Like it's a wig or something? The hairdresser showed me some caramel/toffee (she called it) coloured samples and said if I had scattered highlights of that, it would look good and with my skin tone. The samples looked like the colour of Tyra's hair in that picture.

no I think it would look really good, i think the hairdresser knows what shes talking about also   yes if someone has a bit darker skin tone they can get away with a lot of brown tones, like J lo (jessica alba, eva mendes, look at the pics)  all have a colour thats close to their skin tone, I know you dont have the exact same colour as those girls but the point is find a colour close to your skin tone it would look great, thats what I would do if I was you but since I have yellow skin I would just look like a simpson myself... cool2 you however can get away with it  Tongue bitch

Hmm, maybe, but I think it's because they're only lightly brown that those women can get away with it, but I'm like obviously brown/desi style and I'm not sure going that much lighter to a colour that similar to my skin tone rather than a medium-dark brown would be good. Tongue

IDK I'll think about it some more Tongue

I'm pretty dark too stardust, the laptop pics make my face look lighter than it is.

I've had light hair before, never an all over colour, but multi tonal so that some dark remains, and it really did look good.  You should consider having lots of tones in your hair.  That way you can adjust to having a new colour without losing too much dark, and progress in stages from there as you experiment.

I often think about a colour change, but I dunno anymore.  I like having dark hair these days.

Yeah, if I do decide on going that much lighter i'll go with that highlighting technique, sounds like a good way to test the waters.

Did you used to change your hair colour often?

nah.  My hair is one area I have never been overly adventurous with.  Pretty much from 17 onwards just stuck with highlights or lowlights, and mid to long hair depending on the year it was, but never any drastic change.  Don't like fucking with my hair.

I generally like having my dark hair too tbh, but I figure if I'm going to mess about and try some things might as well try now or seriously consider it.
