    No, I'm saying she's talking about cases that do not involve these common points of criticism:

    - Having children
    - Large age/power difference
    - Abuse

    ... and saying that even those couples are "freaks".

    There's an incest storyline in the book and TV series Call The Midwife based on the memoirs of a midwife in the East End of London in 1950s. I felt only empathy for  Frank and Peggy whose tragic upbringing had created in them a love stronger than anything they could face in life. Surprisingly even the nuns who help nurse Frank when he is diagnosed with cancer are quietly accepting of the siblings love for one another. Just thought I'd throw this one in because I found the story very touching.

    Lol, thanks. Cousins and siblings are a different story though. I don't think cousins should reproduce either, but the chances for cousins having babies with genetic defects is much lower than siblings who reproduce.

    I may be an "incestophobe", but I think it should at least be granted that I'm a liberal one. Grin

    I wouldn't go all Westboro Baptist Church on people, or picket their homes, or try to make it illegal. I wouldn't hold protests, or be confrontational about it. But if someone asks my opinion, I'm going to be honest and say that yes, I do find it beyond disgusting. But if you are consenting adults, it's your business.

    Can it really be labelled incest if the siblings never grew up together, say separated at birth? I find it revolting but who is to say we wouldn't react the same way if we were in their shoes - had the same environmental upbringing and biological make up? Sometimes you can't control your feelings for other people.
