I read this book 5 or 6 years ago.

    http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3483356-in-the-land-of-invisible-women

Yes , it was tough-provoking,deep portrait of Saudi society,  it touched many subjects of injustice done to  women ....but the author is still a devout muslim who thinks that teaching of Mohamad was somehow ''distorted by radical islam''.

Isn't it funny how cats can understand people without ever reading a single psychology book?

well who knows what he/she really thinks. Maybe the author just doesn't want to get in trouble and also thinks that the book is more likely to have a positive impact by not criticizing Islam itself, just radical interpretations of it.
