    How do you make friends with guys, without giving them the confusing signals? I want to make friends with guys and girls, and I hate that some guys think that I'm chasing them when I'm not. Especially after the way I behaved wasted that day >.< I need to quit drinking.

    I don't want to mess this up, I have potentially 3 good friends I could make, two guys and a girl, not in the same town, but I think we could still be friends through a combination of online talks and occasional meet ups/socials gatherings.

    I'm really bad at making and keeping friends...

    I dunno, sometimes I think even that isn't enough. 

    If someone likes you, even if you tell them at the off that it's a just friends thing, they will accept it, but there's always going to be that bit of hope.  or belief that willingness will change.

    Way too many movies teaching guys that perseverance is the key.  or that being friends could lead to love.......if you go by one movie, swapping your semen with her donated sperm, and inseminating that child yourself, will get you the girl.  Grin

    Obviously not all guys though, some can and will respect that instant honesty and live with it.

    Treat them like a girlfriend and avoid physical contact, looking deeply into the eyes and be careful with compliments (e.g. you're so strong, you have a beautiful smile) and you should be OK, they should loose interest in you soon. If they don't, they likely want to shag or marry you.

    Mine is contrary to your experience, I have met women whom I intended to be friends with and they mistook it for relationship or think that I'm seeking a relationship. It can be annoying and sometimes offensive.

    For me this is simple,well experience has kinda taught me that if i'm interested in someone  I would ask her out as soon as I can without any hesitation. Pretending or trying to be friends in the hopes of getting laid won't work rather it will just be a huge waste of time. What's the worst that can happen, she would either say "No" or "She is engaged or has a boyfriend". Big deal, move on until you meet someone again and have the chance to ask her out.
