Kato Kaelin Not only Pot .. everything should be legalized and everything should be computerized .. state should prepare whatever is available in the market and prescribe it to whoever needs it... + put some helpline to such folks..

and folks like that football guy O. J. S should be in jail..  I am worried that Jolie lady might get confused with Kato after those pot sessions

I am against Alcohol, Cigarettes, and recreational drugs so I voted "No". evil

I support people's rights to do it, but I don't want marijuana to be legal. I don't want to point out the negatives of Marijuana use, search it up and you'll see for yourself. Of course I believe people should have the right to do whatever they want to their body, as long as they aren't doing any harm to others (i.e. driving while high or drunk). Please don't do it in public, the smell of it is really strong and repulsive vomit. I'd rather smell Crap.

Edit: Nice to see I'm not the only one who voted no here.  grin12

Yes I am a staunch supporter of decriminalization of drugs. My reason(s)? Well to keep it short: The harm principle.

    No.

I know that Marinol is used mecically so perhaps in that case yes but there are thing that work much better in such cases. Sometimes the mind just tink it wants something so that something seems to work much better,

Recreational nisuse of drugs and alcohol are bad for individual and society.

    Legalize it, regulate it.

My father, who has MS smokes medical marijuana and it not only helps dull the pain but also helps him sleep at night.  My uncle, who also has MS benefits from its use as well.

I also find it helps me sleep at night especially as I'm a light sleeper and tend to stay up all night.  It also helps me deal with my anxiety and depression.

Yes, what's the point of criminalising something when it doesn't stop otherwise law abiding people doing it?  The economy's fucked, legalise it, tax it, regulate it so it can't be sold to the underage, treat it just like alcohol.

Marijuana Called Top U.S. Cash Crop

Weeding through the value of the nation's cash crops, a study released today states that marijuana is the U.S.'s most valuable crop and promotes the drug's legalization and taxation.

Drug enforcement officials say the equation is not that simple.

The report, "Marijuana Production in the United States," by marijuana policy researcher Jon Gettman, concludes that despite massive eradication efforts at the hands of the federal government, "marijuana has become a pervasive and ineradicable part of the national economy."

In the report, Gettman, a marijuana-reform activist and leader of the Coalition for Rescheduling Cannabis, champions a system of legal regulation.

    Paranoid.

Recreational nisuse of drugs and alcohol are bad for individual and society.

    Patronising. And stupid.

So far, no good reason for it being illegal.

    Yes.

    Heroin and cocaine too.

All to be taxed and subject to quality control. Marijuana to be available from places that sell booze and fags. Not sure where heroin and cocaine should be sold. Perhaps a Swedish-style systembolaget.

Trouble is, as a bit of a libertarian, I hate systembolagets.

I've not really thought this through. Sorry.

    ^Lol, had to google "systembolagets"

    link

Systembolaget is a government owned chain of liquor stores in Sweden. It is the only retail store allowed to sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% (by volume) alcohol. Systembolaget also sells non-alcoholic beverages, although this product segment represents less than half a percent of the total sales of beverages.[1] To buy alcoholic beverages at Systembolaget one has to be 20 years of age or older.[2] At Swedish restaurants and bars the legal age to buy alcoholic beverages is 18.

Never heard of that before, I guess the system can work for marijuana, who knows?

A similar system exists in Canada. Only governmental companies are allowed to sell hard liquor, eg. SAQ in Quebec, LCBO in Ontario.
