    I want to visit. Love your food and history and civilisation. My cousin visited recently for a holiday and loved it, made me more eager to go.

    I've lived with many Chinese people over the years. The culture fascinates me and the I always liked authentic chinese cuisine (as well as the faux chinese stuff like chow mein). I don't like generalising so I can't say I have a positive or negative image overall but it is a place that interests me.

    I like china, they been supportive of Pakistan. Apart from that, I think in the long term china will seriously fail, not becouse of supporting Pakistan, but because of economic minupulation, in the next 20 years china will crash. Inflation in china will be unprecedented.

    I don't know enough about China culturally, but I have to say, economics wise, the next decade is going to be insane. China is buying out mountains and mountains worth of oil, gold, minerals, etc. They are in some places spending 50%+ over the market rate for a steady production values. While this is smart, if begs the question, what do they think will happen?

    Do you have any questions to ask?

    I was shocked when I see news about recent anti-Japan parade on CNN,BBC.

    I told my friend I ask this question here and she asked me:"Do they say something like Chinese are barbarous,violent,lack of symphasy.etc."

    I live in Japan, and I think it's China's bigness that most freaks out the Japanese. This fear over-rides their better instincts.

    Actually this is what a Chinese man used to say about the Japanese in his emails when he knew about my plans to move to Japan. He kept telling me that the Japanese wouldn't 'accept' me among them. He was a Muslim convert anyway. He didn't like me apparently.

    Oh and I found some Japanese people say bad things about South Koreans.

    I'm not surprised to see all that. Because that's what is happening in the part of the world I live in  Cheesy

    The Chinese Govt should get off our continent if they cant give jobs to the indigenes or at least maintain corporate social responsibiity, at least the western corporations do those things.

    Aside from that, i like Chinese philosophy and its history. Also i would love to visit great wall of China.

    I want to learn Chinese! I started learning some Japanese first (think it's easier) and the plan was to then move up to Chinese (mandarin) which seems more difficult.

    I also very much like the Chinese traditional cultural style; mainly the architecture, minimalist style, the spiritual focus. I was just thinking of taking meditation classes actually, found a place through google.

    At one time I actually learnt all the characters of the Hiragana set, can vaguely remember them now.

    I like the architecture Tongue The Calligraphy is nice too. Nice thing about Chinese characters (and the Japanese) very artistic.

    All languages are worth learning, even dead ones, as they all contain rich human history and are meaningful to someone

    Anyway, I wish one day to learn Chinese for at least economic reasons, but maybe my learning days are behind. I hear that in the big cities a lot of people are getting better at English so...
