There was a clip from Gaza on the News tonight showing some men frantically digging in the ruin of a bombed house and finding a woman still alive, but no doubt badly hurt. Suddenly they stopped digging (the lower half of her was still buried in rubble) and
started shouting she needs to be covered, she needs to be covered and did not resume digging until someone had produced a piece of cloth which was then draped loosely around her head.

Was this all said in English?

Or do you understand Arabic? If so, you wouldn't mind telling me what they said in Arabic, will you?

Still, the question remains, why has the militant, Islamist organization Hamas been able to take power in Gaza but not in the West Bank? All that the articles you've shared so far are saying is that the PA (Hamas' political rival and itself an Islamist org at the beginning like Hamas still is) has helped Israel in keeping tabs on Hamas' leaders.
When was the PA/Fatah/PLO ever Islamist

Why was Gaza more susceptible to Islamist takeover than the West Bank?
Hamas simply had/has more fighters than the PA in the West Bank so when the PA (with the help of others) tried to oust Hamas they took over the Gaza strip rather easily.
Basically, Hamas cannot stand the fact that Jews are in charge of the Temple Mount/al Aqsa.
And neither can anyone who supports "International law" and the two-state solution.
