Pretty stoked about the Syrian number, especially since many Syrians are cut off from the internet a.t.m and internet usage in the country is fairly low. There's hope for post breakup Syria yet.

58 murtads from Canada  grin12  Since this is only a small sample it means the actual number of murtads could easily be in the hundreds.  bunny

Well, this is going well. 33 atheist from my country, though only six women.

In the overall statistic, it won't be too long before the ex-muslims break the 10k barrier, which is rather heart-warming Smiley

I didn't know whether to do Egypt or USA. Hmm. I should have picked the latter, but I picked the former for some reason.. I wanted to rep the Egyptians I guess. Grin

I'm pretty sure the actual number of ex muslims is probably in the millions.  Just hope more of them see this census.  Smiley

I'm sure it is, but those numbers are quite encouraging.

Frankly I think the term "feminazis", when applied to people who are basically just ordinary women, is bloody idiotic.

Indeed, the term should be Femin-Idi-Amins.  © Stephen Colbert.

Yes I think it needs more exposure, but I'm not sure how else to get the message across apart from social media sites. Understandably many closet atheists and non religious people won't be able to repost the site on facebook / twitter etc

Many organisations like the BHA need to put posters up on buses etc.

Yeah, it's really going slowly. I for one wouldn't dare post it on my facebook, but surely there are other ways?

Iran is about to fall out of the top ten any day now.

Canada just needs a hundred and a bit more to edge ahead of Australia.

Total is at 182,000 and here's the top 10 countries:

    United States of America: 63,496
    Brazil: 14,295
    United Kingdom: 12,935
    Turkey: 11,778
    Australia: 8,789
    Canada: 8,689
    India: 3,790
    Italy: 3,289
    Iran: 3,285
    Germany: 3,265

Posting this as a sort of time capsule moment.

I'm kind of surprised at how many people prefer to call themselves humanist, freethinker, and rationalist. There are plenty of atheists who aren't any of those, so I don't know why you'd want to have that as the term.

I'm actually surprised at the high standings of Turkey and Brazil. I've never really heard much of atheism in Turkey and I thought South America was a very religious place (from what I've heard). It seems I may have missed on some information then. I suppose it also depends how many people actually find out about this and care to complete it, which doesn't seem to be all that many.

The US of A seems to be charging ahead!

And I expected more entries from the Scandinavian regions.

    Over 46k though  dance

I think the fact that almost everyone there is an atheist means the people in Sandinavia don't really see the point in declaring themselves as such.
