Hi, I just wanted to know the purpose of banning someone who has somewhat extreme and unreasonable views? I mean, if someone comes into this forum, and talks about how the victim of rape should be blamed for the act of rape, why should he/she be banned? I completely agree that it is an immature, nonsensical, and brutal view, but after all of it, it is still a VIEW/OPINION. Shouldn't there be more time spent in discussing opposite views and trying to explain our views to people like that, and vice versa? Doesn't banning their freedom of speech make things worse? I understand that if people continue to spam their views, it would make sense, but why ban just for a mere statement of opinion, even if it may be extreme? Isn't that what this forum is all about? Why should we stoop down to their level where muslims block our freedom of speech and block us from stating ANY arguments against Islam? Again, just to clarify, I don't agree with views like that, it's just a question out of curiousity.

You appear to be confusing one forum with the whole Internet. Please hang up and try again.

Toor, I know this is a forum. Is there any explanation to the banning though? Shouldn't the purpose of the forum be to communicate our ideas from ex-muslims TO the muslims and any other people who have radical ideas, so that MORE people start to leave the religion? We were all in their positions once too. Oh, and I hope this reaches your voicemail too

This is a forum where all people are welcome and we will make sure that those who were victimized by Islam and related cultures feel welcome. That includes rape victims and survivors. We do not tolerate rape apologism (i.e. blaming rape victims and defending rapists) and any kind of sexism, racism or homophobia. In general, we do not tolerate trolling either, which can include any kind of abusive behaviour towards anyone. These are part of the Forum Rules that every member agreed to when they registered. If someone does not agree, they can go join other sites on the Internet. At the end of the day, the forum is run by humans. If there are suggestions, we do listen to them, and we always discuss things as a team before making decisions.

Our goal is not to make Muslims into ExMuslims. Our aim is to be a safe space and a place for support for ExMuslims, atheists, agnostics etc.
