Why do these Dawah snake-oil merchants sound like wannabe American rappers? I have relatives in London who don't sound anything like this and would be rather embarrassed to be associated with these kind of people.
The annoying part is when they put Arabic into their English language. For example, instead of calling someone your brother, they would use the word "akhee." or "ukhtee" for sister. They're just wannabe Arabs.
For some reason, huge numbers of youth in East London speak with this 3rd grade English accent. It's especially common among chavs (of whom there are many South Asians and Blacks in my area).
I wouldn't be surprised if Imran Mansur was a chavvy crackhead once upon a time.
