Canelo knocked Amir Khan dead. After the first couple of rounds it really seemed like Khan would run away with the win. Said he wanted that underdog success story like Leicester City. Cry

"Listen, I'll put it like this. If people can walk around - and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way to religious people - and you believe the son of God came down to earth 2,000 years ago, and he killed himself for our sins, and he can walk on water, and there's a God up there looking after ourselves, and if you get on your knees and pray to him that things will change, if you can believe that, then you can believe that I can knock the fuck out of Luke Rockhold two weeks from Saturday."

That was the most entertaining post-fight press conference. Bisping was drunk and gave no fucks.

Olweasel, how would you rank the heavyweights in the UFC?

There is no strong champion since Velasquez dropped the title, but a number of strong, pedigreed contenders I think. I hope Werdum can get it together for more than a couple of big matches in a row, but there seems to be like 4-5 really strong fighters.

    how fuck works without shit??

I dunno, the MMA math doesn't compute. JDS defeated Werdum who defeated Cain who defeated Rothwell who defeated Overeem who defeated Struve and JDS who defeated Miocic who defeated Werdum who defeated Browne who defeated Overeem and Struve...

To me it seems like Werdum and Velasquez are the class of the division. Hopefully one of them can get the title and they can just fight again.

I'm glad I'm not a betting man since all 3 of my predictions were dead wrong. The way things are going this year I expect Overeem and Hendo to win the belt in decisive fashion.

    It's an oversaturated division.

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.

Y'know, I can easily imagine Jones holding the LHW and HW belts at the same time. Is there any reason why he'd have to lose his LHW belt if he moved up, provided he could still make weight and straddle fights between both divisions? I'm not sure how they work all that stuff out.

Even though I'm 4 years late, I could never see Jones winning HW belt against guys like Stipe. He's not built for it.
