    As women ,Islam is more than restricting. I am still undecided upon my faith, there are so many things that I am still debating. But what I am wondering what was the first thing that you ladies did upon leaving Islam, like going to the beach in bikinis or something of that sort. Oh and those of you like me you can add what is the thing that you would like to do the most!

    It does say something though.  Muslims have to be so OCD even about farts, keeping track of them with dead seriousness and spending real time worrying whether or not one slipped out during the day. It is an insane amount of brain torture when you think about it.

    yeah having to constantly think about whether I farted or not during prayer made me so paranoid.

    Thats why unlike other religons once you leave islam it literally feels like you've broke from a mental prison.

    Haha, I find it amusing that the very first thing you did, no matter how small or insignificant to the onlooker, feels utterly libirating to you  Cheesy
    I think the first the I would try (if I do leave) is probably the shortest shorts in my closet and a tank top that says "twerk team" lol let them think I am whore

    Cant really think of the first thing i did but my whole mind felt so relieved knowing this was not the truth. Now i concentrate on purifying my actions rather than rotuals which help no one.

    It's actually a little funny.
    I didn't do anything odd when leaving Islam except have a proper conversation with my parents.

    I suppose it is due to the path I took leaving Islam.

    late teens / 20s.. I just ignored my faith and did a lot of the 'non Islamic things'... drinking, eating non-halal....
    Mid 20s... I think I stopped rebelling. I battled with faith and just kind of started thinking of Islam as a revelation for those in its time. So I was very comfortable eating non-halal meat, occassional drink... but I wasn't doing any kind of rebelling.
    Late 20s/30... I took the intellectual step to leave Islam after I researched the faith and sources properly.

    But by this time, I pretty did whatever I wanted to do anyways (eating, drinking, not fasting...)
    So all that was left was just to let people close to me know about the choice.

    Well I haven't left Islam, but yay me, today I got a little sinful and made my own alcohol dance
    I feel like a bootlegger in probation, it wasn't a lot so I got to drink it and was good Smiley

    Wrote about it online, anouncing my apostasy on Ummah.com and making it ‘official’. Then I desecrated a qur’an.

    Went to KFC and Burger King and porked  piggy out on Whoppers with cheese and bacon and the Colonel's secret recipe chicken without feeling guilty afterwards for eating non-halal.

    I did have to hide it for a whole until I split from my husband.

    If you are thinking about leaving why not leave? Its a process I am aware of this but I will say to you the same thing I say to Christians. If you are not interested in following the edicts and teachings of your religion, why stay? Of course I used to be a Christian, I know there is a lot of emotional stuff you have to work through but its something to think about; and I'm sure many people on this forum would say its a breath of fresh air when you get to the other side Smiley

    nothing really, i thought i was free from Islam, but i realized that i will never be free until i left my country. hopefully in the near future

    I'm in Denmark. Some of our main exports are bacon and pork piggy

    It was more of a process for me, so I don't exactly remember the first thing I did, but I remember having a couple of sips of cider two years back and feeling awesome  dance

    100% true, While living in a conservative Islamic country cannot enjoy the freedom. It may take several years to have liberal friends or like minded people. You have to pretend many times on many occasions and at many places.
    I am also in a same state. Thinking to move to west where SUN set.
    If Allah is most merciful He should reveal His book unambiguous, complete (covering complete guidance for all time without need of any Hadith or Tafseer), easily and undoubtedly translatable to every language of world with a vivid sign of its proof from Him and its reach to every single human being.

    the first thing i did when i left Islam was eating at a non Halal restaurant. But still i can't make myself order pork and beer.

    I ended up eating vege noodle and a coke. Silly me.

    Keep in mind there are different types of pork and different types of beer. Personally British bacon is fantastic. American bacon not so much. Ditto for beer.
