    So the current events section doesn't show up for me, I think you have to be a member. How's ummah doing on defending last night's terrorist attacks in Paris?

    Last time i checked it was not as bad as i expected. Lots of people calling it madness, pray for the people in Paris and how can Muslims be doing this/hope it's not Muslims.

    I am sure there will be someone on there saying that's what they deserve soon though, or maybe messages like that have already been deleted.

    Yes, now there are a couple of people like "Abu Najm" and "Blackbeard" condoning their attacks and a few like "noobz" dismissing them by saying things like "the West does worse to Muslims" or "you lot are never this outraged when Muslims are killed". That being said the majority have expressed disgust towards Abu Najm and don't seem to think these attacks are justified.

    So I was just reading a clarification regarding murdering civilians and just as it as getting good they moved the thread so non members can't see it. I was going to click the link for the book and give it a read but now I can't. Annoyed.

    Basically ummah members arguing over whether or not killing innocent people (including children) is a bad thing or not.

    Now this is a kicker. Ummah members wondering if you can pray for the innocent people massacred in Paris in the name of their religion and their god, and all of a sudden on page 5 AbuMubarak comes into the thread like Norman Osborn or Doctor Doom or Lex Luther or something, all righteous fury.

    Time to take another long break from that forum (for real). Getting into arguments is a waste of time that could be better spent elsewhere and there are nice people (as well as the horrible ones) who I would rather not keep arguing with. No one is going to agree with me.

    Like me they're probably just fascinated. The CuriousKafir guy has changed to CuriousMuslim, hopefully he doesn't fall prey to the extremists and manages to follow a version of Islam which is softer and brings him some joy. For some reason I felt dread after reading that he had converted.
