    It's always been skin colour. We try to dress it up under different categories but it all boils down to colour. If we humans could not develop speech, communication, ideas and cultures we would still be competing and fighting and imo it would be over skin colour

    You really think it's purely that? We are a tribal species, it's very possible for you to have someone with a different colour that you still think of as "one of us". Some people trade racism for tribalism, which is more about dressing, speaking, sounding, doing like us rather than purely looking like us.

    I will let others comment first - yes tribalism forms a tighter core but remember I said no culture, no trade unions. If humans were in the same population number back then, as now and we had no 'human' nature i.e animalistic still, yes tha is how I see it. of course I am willing to have my mind changed, how else does one learn?

    I think it's more something taught to us. When you're a small child you don't register skin colour, you see it's there but it means nothing whatsoever. I really think you have to grow up and have this idea of "different" shoved down your throat, being told over and over that, say, you can't treat Abdul the same way you treat Christopher, because of this and that and culture and blah blah blah. It's something that made apparent from an early age, different different different, not like us, not one of us. At least that was my experience and others I know tell the same story. When we were little we didn't realise there was a difference, we had to be taught we were different.

    But if say you come from a place where everyone has the same skin colour as you and you don't see someone with a different colour until at the earliest your mid teens, I would imagine that's quite a shock. But if we were more animalistic, I'm not sure what effect that would have. Plenty of people are attracted to those of a different race.

    Ok. Your last sentence is most thought-provoking. It is different when it comes to memebers of the opposite sex. To men pussy is pussy whatever colour (not color) it is wrapped in (most of the time).

    When I was a child, I went on a survival training trip near Canada. So near Canada, in fact, that at one point we became desperate for a site to have a fire for cooking.
    All of our ready to eat food was exhausted, and the rest had to be cooked either in water or mixed with water and then cooked.
    But we didn't have a permit to do this in Canada, and didn't want to risk being fined or reported.
    Mounties and Border Patrol were all over the place.
    So the only American campsite was on an island. A dozen travelers had told us there was a bear on the island.
    So we would cook, right? Then we would leave and sleep in another site on the Canadian side, with no fire.
    We were cautious. There was no bear in sight, no reason to be worried. We started cooking and began patrolling the perimeter. I found a gas canister (illegal!) with tooth marks and a dent in it, back off a trail away from the fire on the beach. Then a shredded tent. A sleeping bag. We pulled back from the perimeter and took up watch positions visible to each other in a semicircle behind the fire, with the water making the far boundary.
    The bear came in from the left, on the trail. Right in front of the furthest sentinel.
    It was smaller, juvenile, probably less than four hundred pounds. But it was lean. Starving.
    We started packing up, and the cook began taking the food off of the fire. I, and one other, held off the bear with branches, rocks, and distractions. Like baiting a bull.
    The bear got frustrated and waddled down to the water, where he bit a canoe. This is crazy and insane bear behavior, scary as hell. We spooked it enough with rocks that it went back into the brush.
    I needed help packing and watching to make sure we weren't rushed by the mad thing. I yelled for the other girls.
    No intelligible answer. Where were they? There were two of them. For sure they could grab the biscuits and some pots and pans and get them into another canoe. Was there another bear? Were they in danger?
    No.
    The other girls had taken an entire canoe out into the middle of the lake, without a single handful of gear, and were screaming hysterically.
    Sometimes I think they had the right idea.
    Better to cut and run when things get scary.

    I saw it. it is a pity that I am as technical as you - obviously your work don't employ you to run their IT (what is HD lol) your as bad as me and I though that would never happen in someone younger than me, 37,38 was it?     I'm gonna have to clock the times/any other posters/gauge speed of type/speed of thought, I just started reading this. And 3 can't write a book within 5 years. what would it be about 3?

    Plus 3 in a speed test, I have to tell you that my keyboard misses letters/the question amrk will refuse to appear the forward slash does so, I know the caps lock exists, but this is recent and capital/lower case mixups, otherwise I would race you. I wait till a new keyboard arrives.

    I just don't understand why someone would use HD for a song. I thought HD was for visual. Would anyone really care more about the video than the tune?

    I don't know. I think I should take three or four characters and just show bits of each. Sort of like in Rice and Salt, but not with any reincarnation, and then reveal they are the same character. Umm. Did I mention all my ideas are copyrighted? If you take them, I am SUING.

    Nowadays 3, they have computer monitors and youtube a site that allows you to share your videos with friends, family, and the world. people listen to music. there has been a music station called MTV since 81?     You have to write it really well because they like the white female reconvert (I made that up, copyright, copyright)angle, mine because it is a view from the inside (and I have to do something relevant to the 'media' world) and then we can pretend that our meeting on a forum for ex-muslims lead to a 'showmance' between us to -  happy ending for both/pose for pictures, collect cheque
