    Lots of men today dressed to the nines in beautifully clean ironed silk posh frocks, but strangely with horrible anoraks!

    I am sorry, but when men dress up like peacocks and then get it wrong sartorially, for example with ill matching shoes, there is definitely something going on!
    When you are a Bear of Very Little Brain, and you Think of Things, you find sometimes that a Thing which seemed very Thingish inside you is quite different when it gets out into the open and has other people looking at it.

    Loads of men here are all dressed up to go to the Mosque for Eid. I do not actually recall seeing any women around. There are a very significant number of men wearing beautiful silk clothing, but getting it wrong with anoraks and wrong black shoes!

    People who complain about homosexuality are often fighting their own demons.  I propose Islam has serious issues about homosexuality because it is hiding its real feelings.  An example of this is men dressing as peacocks but getting it wrong.

    And who does the ironing and designing and stitching?

    Ummm, ok. So if they were dressing like peacocks but getting it right they wouldn't have teh ghey issues. You can only tell they haz teh issues if they get it wrong. This is presumably because drag queens always wear anoraks with their stiletto heels or something.

    Is it agreed that Islam is amazingly male orientated?  

    I did state suppressed, because yes if they were not suppressed would there not be be some consciousness of one's presentation in every day life?

    I am sorry, I do think if people protest strongly about something it is often symptomatic of personal battles.  

    As with the Catholic Church, I propose there are a significant number of repressed gay men in fundamentalist leadership positions, who if they were out, may actually begin to be humane towards others.

    This is why men are confined to so few fashions, because if they wear anything out of those narrow confines, they are seen as gay.  :/

    Moi, you do realise that in the countries they come from or are descended from, men can wear more than just plain trousers?

    Yes, I think my main note of surprise was that I did not actually see any muslim women out this morning!  Last week they had some film on the TV of the moon landings, and mission control was completely male.  It was strange to see another group of males in a religious celebratory mood this morning!
