    I have ten days left on this forum, so 3, I need to whittle the ideas down. Then I can work/hibernate.

    The JT project

    So website and film. Good concept. Tunes/Movies/Books/etc  that mean something to 10 people who chose the same choices in each category (100 say) in the same order, from pensioner in Russia, to pig farmer in Vietnam, drug dealer in Columbia and our hero in the city of NY/LA.

    Now the virtual living spaces - depends on CGI and usually they do that to cover bad plot/dialogue/lets make money. So in or out?

    Now to give it spine and steel. Adopt the Slumdog Millionaire device and make (if iirc the contestant answers all the questions because they mean something to him/learnt by him in his dramatic and relatively short life - we saw the story unfold as to how he knows the answer to Anil Kapoor's, Chris Tarrant (who does it in America?)

    Similarly here we have to make the choices of say songs/movies/books/etc that our ten like into short vignettes, how each individual from disparate backgrounds like the same ten songs.

    Next thing is what is our's hero motivation to track them down, while the story of their lives plays out, will he be too late for them to continue with their lives??

    I would call it X.

    Oh yeah, a couple of them have to be fit girls, (of the X) - hope I am there at the casting. Lol

    Second idea  Adam and Eve - Y and Mitro  working title   Genesis

    Massive super volcano. (like lake Toba) (bottleneck in human Dna) ( scientist reckon 100,000 people survived not sure)
    Nuclear winter.

    How about that for opening scene.

    5 brothers went hunting that morning in the only place left habitable in the world, Rift valley or Eden, our brothers make it there, their village is kaput, in eden, the refuge - the dangers are even greater

    5 brothers kill the other males or subordinate them - take their women

    The women bitch and scheme against each other, to enable their 'brother' to succeed as top dog. Our hero 'Adam' faces big battles in his quest to secure the 'legend' (we know he is going to win because he is called adam)brothers and wives and girlfriends and allys and enemies plot for the throne, some brother live for him others die for him, some save him others try to kill him. And lets not talk about his sister-in-laws.

    In the end Adam arises with his new Queen, Eve.

    They can then either kill all remaining kids, but faced with incest allegation from social services, they decide to adopt them all and live long prosper, go forth multiply.

    Of course I am not saying that all 100,000 people are in the Rift Valley, there might be other edens, but we focus on this one, it is called suspension of belief, you need it for movies and religion.

    A few problems - what do they look like, to get the most scientific credibility they might look not very appealing. Ar they Black? Of course they are? Will they show black 'cavemen', yeah right. What language do the speak? if at all? is it all clicks of teeth/tongue (how back homw farmers and 7 yr old beating the water buffaloes with their sticks, speak).

    Can it made silent? With subtitles of a complete new gruntology, rivalling Klingon (where are you Jedi, I am going to have to email you, we, or should I say I need you, it would make three, at least)

    18 rated - sex and violence, sodomy/baby killing/sacrifice/genocide/stoning just like the OT,NT, Koran etc.

    I haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire, so I am not familiar with that reference.
    I like the very first mention, of disparate characters with the same taste, and also what particular emotional moment led them to make that definitive choice in their "profile" or whatever it might be called. I can't figure out why they would need to be tracked down, but perhaps you have something in mind.
    In the reverse, you could have ten characters (probably less is better) feel they have had a message with their similar choices and they all have to chase something down.

    I don't have anything in mind yet, it will come to me though, in the supermarket, watching a music video, watching a film, walking down the street

    I am thinking end of times, not necessarily biblical but apocalyptic - lol maybe that is too far for ten people and their top ten life choice of tunes. of course, it may depend on the characters on the list. Colombian drug dealer? Could be international arms terrorist, could be aliens who after analysing the earths 'internet' have chose ten songs they like, and these people on the list are abducted for summat...

    who know, but it will be fun. US govt/army. The US government will only allow footage/use of army/navy/air/etc men and steel, if they have strict script approval. Not a speck of negativity for the Great Satan.

    Maybe it is five love stories. I nearly wasn't going to consider this (idea) because I don't think I would have met you on my list - it is good that friends can bring different tastes, as long as it works out together, some cheese, we are good to go.

    You have to watch Slumdog Millionaire, it is based on a book - I don't know how different it would be, but it is very very good. You can sit on your heels to clean the farsh (what you don't have brroms/vacuums lol) but not watched Slumdog Millionaire, next you will be telling me you haven't watch Harold and Kumar go to White Castle (this time I defer to America, they made it)because you know they have an Asian actor in it. But if you are in America the 'chinese' Harold guy is the Asian, in UK the same guy would be the Chinese guy, whereas the 'indian' guy Kumar, is Asian over here in the UK but not in the US he is Indian. Go figure.

    The first idea attracted a 'like' the second a 'bad' even if it bad was preceded by not. half full/empty. I take it 3, you prefer the JT project. take your time. We have ten whole days.

    You just gave me an idea. How about this virtual choices thing becomes so rigid and so damn huge that it stultifies society completely, people move only in their own circles and etc. Of course our heroes break free and mix up their tastes.

    Farsh means ground/floor in my lingo.

    Asok? Dilbert? Think my sister went to Canada or somewhere and bought back/introduced me to Dilbert, met him a lot of times in my bathroom. There was a dog? So Brian, was not the first (I mean there was marmaduke/lassie, but you know what I mean.)

    3, my dear three - I have customised my profile today to reflect/remember my belt which for a long time had one badge, which had a skull and cross bones with the legend  DEATH OR GLORY. (I have to wait for my parents to die tho, one even, it is easier to dominate/manipulate lol (ONLY JOKING about dommanip, the wanting to shout and make a name, why not, I would be remembered, no?

    In GENESIS- THE PREQUEL -THE MOVIE

    you could have it from th3e female perspective, like make Eve the strong lead, focus on her story, say like five sisters go out hunting,..um err not quite the start.

    the supervolacano would not be the first scene. the five brothers chasing down 'meat' the camera would pan from the terrified beast as it has been running for for eight hours being chased by five brothers. The eyes/faces/breath would be the focus of the opening scene, flashes from prey to hunter and hunters, getting close and closer and closer till BOOM, the world burps.
