    The insane part is that adultery and gay sex is considered as zina, whereas lesbian relationships are not. They are not even punished with stoning/lashes as in the case of zina

    Is it because, traditionally, there is no penis penetrating anything? Is it because female sexuality is viewed as deficiant/not complete without a male?  Huh?

    And if sex without male penetration is not viewed as zina, can a couple engage is non-penetration sexual acts without deeming it to be zina? What is it with lesbian sex that makes it different? I really want to know!  wacko Cheesy

    There is a widespread theory that the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah was due to their sexual deviancy which included homosexuality, orgies, and wide-spread promiscuity. This theory is present in all Abrahamic faiths. As for acts of non-penetration and lesbian sex, there are several hadiths that prohibit a male from touching a woman who is not considered his property. As for women, there aren't many laws against a woman's sexual conduct due to the implication and assumption that she will always belong to a male at some point in her life and has to do as they say always. Also, though lesbian sex may be indirectly sanctioned, marriage certainly isn't because it is obviously stated that men and women belong together.

    It just makes no sense that lesbian sex is not viewed as zina or real sex, there is no logical explenation for it. Female sexuality is just viewed as deficient or incomplete without a male. That's why male sexuality is always the focus in Islamic religious texts, while female sexuality is only secondary.

    Of course. Women are property anyway. They don't have the freedom to do what they want even outside of marriage. They are either tied down by their fathers, brothers, or husband.

    By the way, never been to Ummah.com before (even though I've been active in other Muslim forums a loooong time ago) but briefly looked through some of the threads. Just... I am so glad I  woke of from my delusions. I feel sad for them, especially the women who re-produce their own opression. "I do it in order to please ALLAAAAH, not people"... Yeah...

    some of them are really sad. I saw one question from a girl asking if she should quit medical school because it is not really islamic for the woman to be educated, and most of them thought it was a great plan

    Oh yeah, I know. Some years ago, there was a reaaallly strong salafi-wave spreading through Sweden. They later came to be divided into Salafi-jihadis and those who are called Madakhilah-Salafis by the former (pro-Saudi type of salafis). So many sisters I knew dropped out of high school because of "forbidden mixing" and 99 % of them, even the converts, shifted from being normal teenagers to becoming a shell of a person; their biggest and only goal in life was to get married. Imagine 15,16 and 17 year old girls talking and discussing how they'll run the household and what they'll spend their days with. Which was basically waiting for "half your deen" to come home while you cleaned and cooked all day. And studying the Quran in your spare time Smiley When I said that my goal in life wasn't to have children, and I wasn't that interested in getting married, I got this condemning look with the question "well, what is your goal then!?".
