There is no magic wand to wave to suddenly get past it. Different people cope different ways and how much or how little or how long it hurts is different. Give it time. It will get easier and easier, and eventually you'll be past it.
Those emotions? Don't shut them down. Don't bury them. Feel them. Process them. Let it work through your system. And then get past it.
`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
