Has anyone else heard about this book? Muslims find this book appealing, even though it's unreliable. Why do they like it? Because their prophet is "prophesized" in the book. Sadly, my Muslim parents refuse to examine this book more carefully and persist in saying that Islam is the "truth".

I have read it. They like it because it confirms their story of how the Jesus thing went down versus the Christian belief that he died on the cross.

Yeah, and they tend to ignore some stuff in the gospel that contradict the Qur'an. For example, Mary never felt pain while giving birth according to the gospel. In the Qur'an, Mary felt pain.

Muslims forget that it is a forgery made in the 15th century. It is confirmation bias nothing more.

If I wrote something that tells of the coming of something that's already happened it's not miraculous. Now the prophecies of the Holy Moby Dick, that's impressive.
