Today, I had a difficult conversation with an 18-year old girl. Difficult for me, not for her. I’ll explain.
Her name is Ghizlane Radi, she tweets frenetically and occasionally blogs, too. A year ago, I unearthed one of her posts, a short satirical text entitled « Letter to God ». This note to the Almighty was funny, insolent, and frankly blasphemous. I was bowled over by the talent, but even more by the freedom and audacity of the thing.

Ghizlane’s post was definitely that of a free-thinking individual. So I immediately thought to publish it. But I hesitated, because some parts of it seemed « too much. » Not that, personally, it bothered me that she was haranguing the Divine with « God, what the fuck are you doing up there (…)? » On the contrary, I found refreshing that a young woman who grew up – and still lives – in a Muslim Arab environment had granted herself this kind of freedom. Refreshing and inspiring, thus publication-worthy.

well ., that 18 year old is doing right thing .. Fucking god ..fucking allah out of the brains of brainless fools. And she is doing that with all the problems she faces in her home, in her town, in her school and in her country... from her locked bed room through the key board and through internet..
Girl break those shackles., if that fucking god is there he/she/it will know which side you are in., it is the side of freedom and it is the side of liberty from religious shackles..
