    If scientists found a way to keep you around your prime (around age 30), and medicine was good enough to make sure no one died of health issues, how long do you think you would live before you got bored of it all and decided to end your life? Would anyone just keep going until the universe reaches conditions where life can no longer exist?  Or would you not accept the anti-aging treatment and just age and die naturally?

    I want to live long enough to see Earth evolve into a Type-1 Civillisation as Michio Kaku predicts by 2100.

    Reckon I could crack the tonne if money wasn't an issue either. There are so many things I'd like to do filling my time wouldn't be a problem provided the finances were right. Although people I know growing up and dying all around me might become depressing.
    Didn't there used to be a TV series about some Scotish fella a while back based on a similar premise?

    It's not fair how non of us will ever get to see the futures space exploration, irritates me at how slow we are with it since the moon landings of the 60's.

    I don't want to give a specific age but probably around the time that most of my loved ones have passed away and my body is failing.
    In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

    Doesn't apply in the scenario of the OP.

    For myself I don't see any reason that i wouldn't want to hang around forever.

    I think living forever would not be appealing. The concept of eternity scares the shit out of me and I would prefer this sort of scenario since it would give me a choice to end it if everything became so completely meaningless. Id imagine that after a few thousand years that everything would feel so boring

    I wonder if you could get to a point in which conscious experience itself would be boring

    Already reached that point.

    To answer the question, I have your stance on it. I would not want to live for eternity. Boredom and emotional scars from the unimaginable shit I would have endured by then would drive me to suicide.

    That wouldn't occur because you'd have sufficient period of time to earn money again.

    I would love to try the many things I have not tested in life yet, probably graduate in about 12 more subjects I am interested in. It'd be pretty cool. Though this could reduce into an "if you say these things in hypothetical situations, why not go out and do it whilst you still have your youth!?" Valid point really. I've got no excuse whilst I still have my youth haha

    Well you can keep enjoying the good things you gained while living life to the fullest. Also teaching others and sharing your experiences, so I think there are many special things around.
