Yes, he tries to make conciliatory remarks but then dismisses everything they have talked about as not being real reasons for leaving Islam - just emotional.

Like saying: Yeah I'm a Muslim and I'm here to "help" you but you don't have any good reason for leaving Islam, you just need emotional support to return to Islam.

Imtiaz rightly puts him in his place saying this was not a theological debate but personal stories.

BTW if anyone accuses you (everyone here, not just you Qtian) of leaving Islam for emotional reasons or due to personal experiences etc...

Tell them:

Firstly that may or may not be true - but why is it a bad thing?

Secondly having emotional and experiential reasons doesn't preclude rational reasons also.

Thirdly are they seriously trying to imply that emotions and personal experiences played no part in their belief in a particular religion?
