I think actually we should set up a proper website that is not actually a spoof but uses proper religious language and quotations but slowly leads people to think about what they are doing.
For example, is it a jinn? What country are you in? Might it be like a cottingley fairie or a tolkienesque elf?
is it good or bad or both? Untrained, young?
Might it be something else? autism?
It would have to be very carefully written, but I think we have the skills here. The point is it must be accepted as authentically Islamic.
(I would also suggest separately a Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Jinn - think of the homeless Jinn the op book is causing!)
This is an excellent idea. I am a great writer, apparently, according to anyone who reads stuff I've written; let's collaborate on this!
What kind of stuff do jinns eat? What do they need to survive? How long can they hold a human form, if they take one? What are the symptoms of jinn possession, and what are the symptoms of real diseases that may be alternatives (e.g., epilepsy including temporal lobe epilepsy, schizophrenia, autism as you mentioned, etc.). Yeah, we could totally do this. Hmm. I'll go make a document, pm me if you want access, and we can collab on it, I led this sort of collab project all the time in uni.
