You and me both.

I actually have a question, hope it's alright if I jump in. Is it normal to have a proxy that asks for your personal info? I recently got google crome and a few of the VPNs wanted my e-0mail address and access to my profile information.
Honestly if you want really security from a VPN it's better to shell out the cash for one like the Cisco VPN, with the free ones you never know what their angle is in providing you their service. Then again, the Snowden leaks revealed that the NSA was bugging every Cisco layer 3 routing device that left the factory before it got to the customer, so like I said in Arabic the meaning of security on the 'net is just that it's not easy to read your traffic, but it will always be possible and you can never be sure lol.
Edit: And of course what's fucking hilarious is that before the Snowden leaks the US was running around warning everyone not to buy from China because, horror of horror, they were placing IP trackers in the routers their companies made. Now it turns out this is exactly what the NSA was doing here.
"Egad man! Don't buy that crappy Chinese router, it's definitely bugged, why don't you buy this superior surveillance-free Cisco box for the low price of $2,999 instead?"
