How long before European govt start overtly killing refugees, instead of just trusting their measures to do it for them? Q needs to be asked

Lastly, why are EU/UN/big NGOs treating indep volunteers at Eidomeni & Lesvos like impediments? They were the ones doing most of the work

EU leaders briefly visit 'hot spots' & they never get the full story. Volunteers are kept away from them, aid workers too mortified to speak

Khaled believes that Syrians are fundamentally good at living together, “not like Somalia.” He hates ISIL, as does almost everyone I ask, but he thinks the al-Nusra front (another extremist rebel group) is OK-ish. “We could work with them.”.

So al-Nusra is OK-ish.... Great.

Mahmoud and other passengers held their babies up so the masked men would take pity on them. But one of the assailants hit the pilot of the boat twice on the head with a truncheon and they disabled the motor by cutting the wires, leaving it to drift. Mahmoud said that some of the passengers tried to communicate in Turkish with the attackers, but that the only language they could understand was the English command to “Stop, stop.”

After drifting for three hours, a Turkish coast guard boat rescued them.

She is detained from 4th of April this year in one of Greek detention centers for undocumented migrants, south of Athens. Sanaa was almost deported by Greek police ten days ago but the pilot of the plane prevented her deportation; not that he was worried particularly about her forced deportation. “What will the tourists say if they will see a woman with ripped clothes covered in a blood travelling among them?” was his concern.

That is insane, I was dumbfounded when I read that. Might as well just lower the cost of citizenship, then, and make it more accessible.

The point is they don't want it more accessible. Keep in mind the sheer numbers coming, some nations are struggling with the amount.

Some nations can not admit to the fact that it cost money to maintain the image of a progressive society. Rather than admitting their limits they create BS solution to maintain their image. Progressive and the word "No" have become separate that saying "No" to anything is anti-progressive.
