    Quote
Islamists are again using the victims of anti-Muslim bigotry to advance their agenda. Once again, a British university has aided this project in a conference on 'Islamophobia' which undermined and demonised ex-Muslims as "McCarthyites".

Surely it's the student groups , with their intolerance of any dissenting opinion , who are guilty of McCarthyism ?

Old news (in Twitter terms), but still absurd and unintentionally hilarious.

    Sigh.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I would have ignored Deepa Kumar. She's flogging her new book on Islamophobia and probably very well knew this controversy would cause a bit of a shit storm and let people know that she exists and then a good portion of her new fans would buy her book.
