    Hello everyone.

    I'm not an ex-muslim but i joined this forum because i did a phd on Islamic politics many years ago and i'd like to be a part of the conversation about Islam and i want to learn about how things are for former muslims. I have the utmost respect and solidarity for you. I'm an atheist living australia,

    Just out of interest, was your phd on modern or historical Islamic politics?
    Which side are you on?

    It was focused on modern radical Islamist politics but to get there the first third was historical
