What would be your ideal heaven?

The Islamic heaven is basically just non-stop sex, sex and more sex. There's plenty for horny 14-year-old Bedouin boys of pre-Playboy magazine days to aspire to, but what about asexuals or just regular, non-sex crazed people? Move along, nothing for you to see here, apparently.

So with that in mind, just imagine that there is a heaven and you end up there. What would your ideal heaven look like? What would you like to do there?

My wishes are simple. My parents passed away a few years ago and I was especially close to my mother. I'd do anything to see my parents again. In heaven I'd want to be reunited with all my pet cats and also make friends with lots of new cats. All my life I've grown up with cats as my parents took in abandoned and neglected cats, sometimes pregnant ones too, so then we had adorable fluffy KITTENS!! I miss them all so much. An afterlife full of cats sounds like heaven to me.

My ideal of heaven is simple freedom from the physical and temporal limitations in order to explore myself and the universe at any moment in time and place. A heaven full of people enacting carnal desires just appeals to our basic instincts which we are told to avoid in life by many religions. Being rewards is ridiculous. This is granting that Islamic heaven is an actual as described in the OP.

KC, you just described my ideal heaven. I don't want a husband or pretty serving boys. I'd take a garden full of cats over that any day. I'm also sick of Islam's obsession with sex. In fact I've always found the descriptions of Islamic heaven disturbing, the 72 singing translucent virgins thing used to give me chills and nightmares. I almost find burning in hell more attractive. If I could have one thing in heaven I'd just choose to be reunited with my cat, I don't need rivers of wine and honey. Do those things really appeal to people in this day an age? I don't get it.

A garden with cats sounds wonderful. I guess then I would no longer be allergic to cats.

Hanging out with Prince, driving any car I wanted through traffic-free roads, music, writing, art, creativity... A place where there is always something fun to do, and no rush or time limits to stick to.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don't alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Which can be uncomfortable if you're one of the facts that needs altering

Sure. I guess we'd all like our own heaven. But I guess that's what heaven is supposed to be, our own ideals actualised.

You mentioned the passing away of your parents KC, that's quite touching. I had two Aunts that I was pretty close to but didn't get to see them when they passed away as they live abroad. I have no relatives here in the UK, perhaps for the better.

I would love to see them again even if it was one more time. Thank them for their sacrifices and their hard work, they never got married nor had children of their own. Everyone saw them as chaste, pure individuals, but regardless of the concept of chastity they truly were holy individuals to me and it exposed me early to the wonder of some Women. I don't know why Women would be so abused in a country like Pakistan especially since there are certainly many women like them that never get married or had kids and instead dedicate their lives to the betterment of the whole family.

I guess I just would like to see everyone that I miss, regardless of their relation to me, and more importantly see them glowing with happiness.

Oh and being able to fly across the cosmos would also be cool!
